So, as it was revealed today by Dan on our forum, Armothe and him have decided to pass the torch to two old members and friends of theirs: Kevin (also known as TheKev316) and myself (Raptoralpha). We both are very pleased and honored to assume this task, and we will make sure to continue to keep on informing you about any new happening in the JP collecting universe (and with the new Sideshow line, we will definitely have a lot of work on our hands). Expect to see some changes on the site's design and content in the following weeks, but don't worry, JPToys is still, and will remain your first ressource site for news about Jurassic Park collecting.

It looks like Papo finally updated their website with a small picture of their new gem, the Allosaurus, and with a release date. Papo and dinosaur fanatics (and me) will be able to get their hands on this neat collectible on June 2008. A long wait, I know, but well worth it, for what we can see.

The JP Toys staff will be holding our first open chat in years through a random AIM chatroom and you're all invited!. Back in the day we used to do this regularly and it was always a lot of fun for everyone involved. The date and time has been decided, and we'll have a little chat with you this upcoming Saturday 2/9/08 at 9:00 EST. From the same seller who brought to surface the prototypes from last week, a few prototypes recently showed up on eBay: several urethane prototype of the Coelophysis' limbs (from the first Jurassic Park series), and a primed sample of a Jaws Jackson figure. They respectively sold for $53.77 and $102.50, which shows that such items don't go for much these days. However, I can understand people not getting crazy about a handful of limbs, even if they're a nice example of what happened during the production of these toys... Thanks goes to forum regular Raptorbite for the heads up! And in other news, we have a new collection to show. Guillaume, from France, was kind enough to send us pictures of his wonderful collection, so feel free to take a look at it on the collections section.

Finally, after months of expectations, Sideshow revealed today their first collectible based on the Jurassic Park franchise. And boy did they deliver! This awesome statue is a recreation of the final scene from the first movie: the Rex versus Raptors fight. I won't tell you more, and will let you enjoy the several pictures posted on Sideshow's website (click on the logo below). The pricetag is quite high, as we could expect, but for $249.99, I would say it's definitely worth it. Also, make sure to check out the exclusive edition which also includes the "When Dinosaurs Rued The Earth" banner. Also, in other news, we have two new dioramas by member JPDude. Make sure to check them out on his diorama gallery!

With a small delay, here is a little news about a prototype that was recently for sale on eBay: an unpainted testshot of the Dino-Snare Dirt Bike from the Lost World toy line. This item ended at $207.50 but, sadly, didn't meet the reserve price listed by the seller. With all these prototypes showing up on eBay and the Sideshow news, we can really call ourselves JP fans quite lucky, especially after the 2007 news drought! JPToys is also happy to welcome a new affiliate: Jurassic Toys. Be sure to check out their new design, and great-looking database!

My, my, my, four news in four days?! Aren't we lucky? So, here's the scoop: forum member DemonCarnotaur noticed two very interesting features on Sideshow's website: a new article about the making of their Jurassic Park diorama, along with a neat video of their creative discussing their product (scroll down and click on "Backstage Pass" to see that video). It's nice to see that diorama was made by people truly passionate about dinosaurs, and of course, to see how this beauty came to be.

So, it's time for the big reveal. Weeks ago, I gave a little hint on our forums about finding something quite interesting. Well, this something finally arrived, and there it is: a packaged sample of the unreleased Series 2 Estemmenosuchus, along with another packaged sample of the Scutosaurus planned for the same series. These two gems were found in China, and were probably packaging test shots that were snatched by some worker before being destroyed. Make sure to check out this thread in our forums for more info and pictures about them!

Well, it didn't take long! As forum member Diurnal noticed, and after only 10 days, the Exclusive Edition of the Rex versus Raptors statue is already sold out! I hope you all had the opportunity to pre-order one. But if you didn't, don't worry, you can always add yourself to the Wait List, and still have a chance to get one if someone else cancels his order. Or you can settle with the regular edition which costs the same price, but doesn't include the neat "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" banner... Also, Sideshow revealed how many Exclusive Edition statues will be produced: 400 pieces. As you can see, it's quite a limited edition, as they probably wanted to test the waters before unleashing a full-scale line of statues. No word about how big the production number of the regular will be, though...
Also, don't forget to check out below your statue when you'll receive it. Since each piece is numbered, think of how cool it would be to own the 1st or the 400th statue!

Hello there! I hope your summer was okay, and that you can't wait to return to school/work/whatever your occupation may be. Nothing earth-shattering for today's news, but interesting stuff from our fandom.

We have had two new fan submissions recently: several dioramas from Dino Fool, which can be seen in her new gallery, as well as a lot (as in A LOT) of collection pictures from forum member Teddybier, who decided to take pics of each item he owns for our viewing pleasure. Feel free to check out his gallery, and have a detailed look at each of his 73 figures!

Quite a big news for today's update. For the first (well, second, actually) time ever, the elusive Ornithosuchus with Dino Trapper has appeared on eBay! This set was known since this series' release in 2000, being mentioned on some boxes, but so far, we had no idea what it looked like. But now that we have a picture of this set, and especially of the, might we say, "flamboyant" Dino Trapper, the reason why it wasn't released becomes quite obvious...

So, after our latest ground-breaking news about the Ornithosuchus with Dino Trapper, how about some reading? Regular contributor Roselaar has written a huge lot of reviews, including the four last ones of the Chaos Effect line, and reviews for each toy in the first Jurassic Park line. Be sure to take a look at them!

Also from Roselaar, we have several pictures of European variations of human figures (by the way, notice how European Skinners and Dr. Snares were part of the "Dino-Raiders" instead of "Evil Raiders"), as well as supposedly US-only dinos like the Carnotaurus. Definitely worth a look. And did you know that some Alan Grant figures from the JP3 line wore two pants? Well, the factory error pictures sent by forum member 0thebigwytec5 proves it!

Now, here's a great way to kick off Autumn 2008! Hello there! Long time without any news, huh? But don't worry: today's update is going to make up for that.

Two test-shots from the canceled Night Hunter Series recently showed up on eBay: one from the Spinosaurus with Carr set, and the other from the Baryonyx with Ludlow playset. Only the two dinosaurs were for sale, without the human figure or any accessory. Still, they managed to fetch rather high prices ($570 for the Spino and $650 for the Bary), but weren't sold to the highest bidder, due to what looked like a huge reserve price (our sources mentioned a ridiculously overrated price of $4,500 each...). So, even though no one had the opportunity to buy these gems, we still have high quality pictures of both of them up for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

In other news, Sideshow Collectibles finally posted boxed pictures of their first Jurassic Park diorama: the T-Rex Versus Velociraptors scene. They also revealed pictures of what appears to be the production version of this diorama, which shows a slightly less stellar paint job (which could be expected), and which also shows what the "When Dinosaurs Ruled The World" banner from the exclusive edition will look like. Little reminder: this set is due to start shipping by the end of October 2008, so this shouldn't take too long, now...

Another news from Sideshow is the announcement of their new line: Dinosauria. Nothing is known about this line, apart from the fact that it should include several pieces with a $200-$350 price tag for each (yikes!). The reveal of such a series is rather puzzling, considering they also own the Jurassic Park license which consists of, well, one piece so far. So, will this new line be the nail in the Jurassic Park Sideshow coffin? As always, time will tell...

Well, Sideshow Collectibles won't stop surprising us, apparently. Too bad it's a rather bitter surprise here. This company, which recently revealed the first item in its Dinosauria line, didn't seem to be JP-inclined anymore, but still, they revealed a "new" statue based on the Jurassic Park franchise: the T-Rex Versus Velociraptors : Faux Bronze edition, a simple repaint of the T-Rex Versus Velociraptors statue recently released...

Yes, a repaint. This dreaded habit we hoped we'd never see again... And to add to the disappointment, this "Faux-bronze" edition is $299.99, which is $50 more than the painted edition. Yes, less paint, but more expensive. But here's the catch: this edition is limited to 50 pieces worldwide, which makes it the rarest released Jurassic Park piece of merchandising ever (well, as far as I remember). Is it worth the extra price? Apparently, it was for 50 people...

As Kevin said last time, we like to show what the Jurassic Park fan base is able to do. But today's news is going to be more toy related, with, first, this amazing Chaos Effect Euoplocephalus custom, inspired by the well-known unreleased toy, and created by forum member Dutchallosaur. You can see more pictures of this great piece of work in Dutchallosaur's thread over at the forum, and a video featuring this custom over here (yes, she even took the time to have a working action feature). Impressive work, isn't it?

Speaking of impressive (but size-wise, this time) works, check out this huge model created for a Haunted House attraction, and which is nothing less than a life-size Electronic Velociraptor, from the Lost World line. Now that's an attraction everyone would want to go to, huh?

Very interesting, yet unconfirmed, news from long-time forum member Jaymz, from the UK. Here's the scoop:

Being bored today I scanned through the computer database at work and stumbled upon some interesting Jurassic Park toy info.

All information on the screen indicates (To me at least) that they're new, well... It's Hasbro so I'm guessing JP/// repaints again, but they come up as 2009 GLOBAL EXCLUSIVE.

I called the German Toys 'R' Us Head Office, it turns out they WILL arrive in all German stores. The woman on the phone estimated they'll arrive in JUNE this year. And she saw all 4 things in her system!

So, it's finally confirmed. We have a new Jurassic Park toy line to drool over! Steve, ActionFigs.com Editor-In-Chief, recently got his hands over two publicity shots, both loose and packaged of the first Dino Battlers two-pack: Triceratops vs. Tyrannosaurus Rex. So, yes, they're indeed JP3 toys repaints, but we've got to admit that the new packaging is definitely striking, and much better than the last JP: Dinosaurs lines. It's very clear that Hasbro has put some time over this new line, so let's hope the rest won't disappoint!

Well, we're now in June, and still no sight of the new Dino Battlers line. Another unreleased line? Not really. Forum member Dutchallosaur contacted several TRU's in Europe, and she got some interesting information:

I called tons of TRU's in all of Europe and the US too, and tons of Hasbro's in Europa and the one in the US.

What did I find out: there are at least a dozen of new figures to be released. So not 4, at LEAST a dozen. When will they be released? The SECOND WEEK OF AUGUST. Strange enough NO Hasbro's in Europe have them in their database, but the American one has (unfortunately no pictures, I asked them). As of TRU's, as far as I know they will be released in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and obviously the US.

And best of all: the German women said she saw an Electronic T-Rex in her database with figureS. We haven't seen that before have we? That might explain the price! Stay tuned, I’ll call the French TRU back in a minute for more info.

And after contacting the French TRU manager, she got a juicy bit of information: the name of some of the dinosaurs featured in the line!

Ok, I have some more information. According to the manager, the following products are to be released:

*Triceratops

*Spinosaurus

*Electronic Dilophosaurus

*T-Rex

He didn't see the large T-Rex in his database yet, but he told me they rarely have anything in their database more than a month before release. He also saw a loose action figure called Patron PT (wtf?). It is possible I didn't write that one down correctly, he talked French with a REALLY big accent, it was very hard for me to understand him. I had him spell that name 4 times for me, so I think I come very close to the real name now. -=EDIT=- Neelis stated that the Patron figure might be a Pteranodon. Because the French guy had a hard time pronouncing it, there's a good chance Neelis is right.

Price range was from $7 - $17, which was not put in Euro's yet.

Unfortunately, he had no pictures in his database, so I couldn't obtain any. I also tried to had him describe some figures, but as he had no pics, he couldn't.

Judging from the figures, I can say for certain it will be a JPIII repaint series again. Note: these are not all the figures, only the ones in his database. So there are more to be released anyway. Only, he couldn't tell me how many.

So, a huge thanks goes to Dutchallosaur for taking so much of her time to give us all these news!

As you know, the new Jurassic Park toyline has been delayed, and will only be released in August. So, what's the best way to kill time? To drool over new pictures! The good folks over at Actionfigs.com got their hands over several pictures of the four Dino Battlers packs, and two of the new Dino Trackers human/dinosaur set, and were kind enough to let us know about them. Make sure to take a look at their website to see these new sets in all their high-definition glory!

By the way, this brings an interesting point. Considering the "Dino Battlers" name is only used for the small two-packs, and not for the whole toy line, how could we name it? For the time being, we'll settle for Jurassic Park 2K9, but feel free to share any idea you might have on the forums. Also, the set we saw a picture of a month ago, the T-Rex/Trike one, seems to have been slightly repainted (yup, both sets share the same assortment number, so unless it's a variation...). For the better or worse, you decide!

Wow, we only have the time to post the news about these new JP2K9 pictures that the folks over at Actionfigs.com added several new ones on their website! So, we now know what the two other Dino Trackers sets look like, and also can lay our eyes upon the new electronic JP3 repaints: the Battle Growlers! So, make sure to take a look at Actionfigs.com to have a full-quality look at these brand new zany JP toys!

Although they are only planned to be released in one month, several JP2K9 figures were sold on eBay by a chinese seller. The sets sold were the Dino Battlers T-Rex vs. Triceratops set, the Dino Battlers T-Rex vs. Spinosaurus set, the Dino Trackers Billy vs Pteranodon set, and the Dino Trackers Diver vs. Spinosaurus set. One interesting thing is the fact that the Rex in the T-Rex vs. Trike set appears to be the brown version, instead of the more zany orange one seen recently. We'll see if it remains the same when more will show up...

In other news, the JPToys staff wishes to congratulate forum member Angelrex53, which is the happy mother of a little Kairi, born on June 1th! Congrats, Angel!

Finally, a picture of what is supposed to be the last JP2K9 toy we were still waiting to see was released, over at Toyark.com (a big thanks goes to ChaosGhostHunter for letting us know). Most people expected the rumored new Electronic T-Rex to be yet another mere repaint of good ol' JP3 Ultra T-Rex, but boy were we wrong! This new Rex appears to be a retooled version of the enormous Bull T-Rex from the Lost World line, without the "open-belly" feature, but with poseable legs! Now, that's a huge surprise! And the cherry on the cake, the paintjob is very reminiscent of the infamous unreleased Gulper T-Rex. Nice tip of the hat from the designer here! So, kudos to Hasbro for this daring move!

Hey folks! A lot of news today! First, that's it, Hasbro finally announced the release of the new JP2K9 line! Well, they've been out for a while now, but still, it's good to know they advertise this line a bit. And to see that they are aware of the Jurassic Park fan base. Read on:

Speaking of the new Deluxe Electronic Rex, new pictures and details of it have surfaced recently on Actionfigs.com. It appears that the final paint job is darker than what was already showed, but still highly reminiscent of the unreleased Gulper T-Rex. But, as said in the press release, it also features stomping sounds, and as seen in the new loose picture, ball-jointed feet! Yup, that's a first for a Jurassic Park dinosaur!

Also on Actionfigs.com, loose shots of all the JP2K9 toys are been released. And pictures of the package back of most of them have been taken by forum members DemonCarnotaur, Raptorgrrl and Jack De La Mare, as well as a diorama shot of the Battle Growler Velociraptor by Angelrex53. All these pictures can be found in the new Jurassic Park 2K9 section.

And finally, JPToys staff's prayers go to the family of forum member Samuel Mc Gowan, better known as JPdude. He was a well-respected member in our forums, and a good friend who left us way too early. May he rest in peace.

That's it, the new big Tyrannosaurus Rex from the Jurassic Park 2K9 line has been released! Several forum members have reported that it has started to appear in various TRU's in the US, for the retail price of $49,99. One of them, Jpraptor, was kind enough to take a picture of the back of its box, which has now been added to the Rex's page. It is now confirmed that this gem has new sounds apart from the old Bull T-Rex ones, like a new stomping sound, as well as a redesigned torso, with new speakers and a battery compartment in place of the "belly-slit" found on the previous versions.

Yup, you read it right: Jurassic Park 2K10. Of course, for the time being, these are only rumors, but still, from what we know, 2010 is shaping up to be a great (if expensive) year for Jurassic Park figures collectors! Here's the juicy bit: a few days ago, a reliable source revealed that there are few new sculpts that have been worked on for the next JP toy line, which should be released in 2010. Yes, new sculpts! Of course, for privacy reasons, he couldn't reveal which dinosaurs are going to appear in this new line, but he could still tell us that the line isn't just repaints and the new sculpts will be VERY easy to spot amidst the many repainted older figures, or that there will be plenty of new dino figures as well as (much improved) new humans, but that although the new figures are vastly superior to what has come out in the past, they could still be more accurate. And to the questions about the presence of new vehicles: "However I can answer this question, though I don't want to give away too much. Let just say it is a full line of toys- everything you would expect from a Hasbro boy's toy line. ". Excited yet? I know I am.

In other news, we recently could settle the brown/orange T-Rex debate about the JP2K9 Trike/T-Rex 2-pack. It is indeed a true variation, and not just a prototype/released figure matter. Both versions can be found in the US and in Europe, so, variation hunters, you know what to do.

And, finally, much to everyone's surprise, it appears that Papo released a new dinosaur: the Oviraptor. It was found by forum member Macularius on a french website called Eveil Et Jeux. Forum moderator Dutchallosaur took her chance, ordered one, and recently received it. A picture of it can be found on this toy's new page. Enjoy!

So, it looks like 2010 is definitely shaping up to be a great year for Jurassic Park collectors! Forum member Rabidrex recently posted some info about the Revoltech Expo in Japan, where well-known Japanese brand Kaiyodo revealed their 2010 line-up. And yup, a T-Rex from Jurassic Park is among these new toys! For all the people who have wanted a well-articulated T-Rex for year, look no further, this one is gonna deliver. The only "downside" is its size: approximately 2.5" tall and about 6" long head to tail. But still, it's going to be a great piece of collectible to own. Check this link for a good view of the T-Rex prototype!

In other news, forum member Quetzalcoatlus, well known on our forums for the amazing customs made by a friend of his, Roberto, showed us the latest creation of his buddy: a custom of the unreleased TLW series 2 Triceratops! Well, after a rather long drought from Papo for 2009, looks like they decided to redeem themselves! After the recent reveal of their new Oviraptor, Papo released a catalog picture of their latest creation: the Pachyrhinosaurus! Yet another little-known, unusual animal turned into a piece of art by this french company. Indeed, it's not inspired by any Jurassic Park dinosaur, but still, it looks too good for any collector to pass on. For your viewing pleasure, we added a new page for this awesome figure. Is there a best way to start a new year than with new Papo figures? Forum member Macularius recently discovered over at Dan's Dinosaurs two pictures of what appear to be a "new" Velociraptor, as well as a Plesiosaurus from Papo. So, yup, looks like we're going to have a grand total four new Paposaurs to add to our collection for 2010! Even though it's a bit disappointing to see that this Velociraptor is just a repaint of the one released in 2005, we have to admit that this new paint job is interesting indeed, as well as very similar to the Velociraptors' colors in Jurassic Park 3. No release date is known for the time being.

Well, it looks like 2010 may indeed be quite a big year for Jurassic Park! Forum member DemonCarnotaur recently posted pictures of small "super-deformed" dinosaur figures, a Pteranodon and a Stegosaurus, both very similar to what was seen in the short-lived Jurassic Park Junior line released nine years ago. These toys belong to the owner of the AWE Striker vehicles we talked about last month, so they are more than probably official. For the time being, we don't have the confirmation that these two are indeed from a new Jurassic Park Jr line, but, as usual, time will tell.

Speaking of the AWE Strikers, forum member Wildweasel posted many pictures of both variations over at our forums. You can check them out in this thread. Will they be released? Do they really belong to the Jurassic Park line? We'll find out soon enough - maybe at the 2010 Toy Fair, which starts on February 14 at New York. Stay tuned!

Wow, this is indeed quite an unexpected story we bring you today! We recently received info from a video game company called "Fool Proof" about a new game currently being made, and loosely based on the Chaos Effect toy line: "Jurassic Park Chaos Effect Unleashed"! Yup, you read it right. 2010 is definitely going to be a big year for Jurassic Park! Fool Proof didn't reveal a lot about their game, but apparently, they're going to use the "genetically mutated dinos on the loose" plot from the old toy line. And indeed, the box art shows a lot about their vision of the Chaos Effect universe. The "Teen" rating is a bit strange, but after all, why not? It's better to have a game made for everyone than no game at all.

So, stay tuned for more about this very exciting project. And meanwhile, feel free to discuss this news on our forums!

Hi guys! In today's news, we are glad to show you Papo's first 2011 addition: the Styracosaurus! After 2010's Pachyrhinosaurus, it looks like this French company has decided to stay focused on ceratopsians. But next year's delivery appears to be quite the opposite of his 2010 big "brother": where the Pachyrhinosaurus was bland colored and with a rather calm pose, this new dinosaur uses most vivid colors, and a dynamic pose somehow reminiscent of Sideshow's rendition of this beast. So, be sure to check your specialized toy stores and museums next year! Big thanks goes to forum member Mäcùlãrìüš for the heads up.

Hey, gang! As recently uncovered by staff member Roselaar and by Dan, from DansDinosaurs.com, Papo revealed their latest creation, scheduled for 2012: the Tylosaurus! Like it or hate it, but that retro (who said outdated?) design will definitely fit with their previous aquatic critter, the Plesiosaurus. So, as usual, you should be able to find this new creature in stores around summer 2012.

Thanks to forum member DemonCarnotaur, we finally have the first pictures of the new Jurassic Park 3D toyline (which should be called Jurassic Park 2009 Series 2, when you look at the packaging)! And even better, the sets pictured are the two most anticipated ones: the Pachyrhinosaurus Clash and the Allosaurus Assault, which both feature unreleased news sculpts, known only from the cancelled "Joerassic Park" line. These two dinos also come with unreleased Gi-Joe figures from the same scrapped line, so maybe we can expect more of these in this new line. Time will tell!

Hey there! Today, we present you much needed updates on the website. First, you'll be able to see the two 2013 entries in the ever-growing Papo prehistoric animals collection: the Carnotaurus, and the Dimetrodon! Papo definitely didn't disappoint this year, and leave us, as usual, expecting for their next gems.

Another wanted update was the inclusion of the latest "JP: 3D" line on the website. Considering that most of this line is virtually identical to the Jurassic Park 2009 line, we decided to include them in that section. The repacks have been included in their "older brothers" pages, as seen here, for example, and the two new sculpts have been given their own pages in the Dinosaurs section. Enjoy!

And in other news, we present you, on behalf of our very own Anonymous contributor, never-seen-before concept art for some of Kenner's potential ideas for further expanding the infamous Lost World toy line. You can find a lot more information about this "lost" line, as well as several sketches, on this thread in our forums. So, yup, more than 15 years later, there's always some new info to be discovered about our favorite toy line!

Hey folks! It's been a while since our last update, but trust us, this one is huge. We are pleased to present you the first pictures of the Jurassic World toy line, by Hasbro! Still, a little disclaimer first.

These images were not leaked from any internal sources from or related to Hasbro or any of its affiliates. All content was shared with us from public sources. We support Universal completely and would not leak anything that was confidential intentionally and we support the film maker's wishes as well! This is why you'll see some items blurred out in these pictures. When they will be publicly shown at Toy Fair, for example, we will make sure to share them with you. But meanwhile, you don't want to spoil yourself too much, right?

Also, it's important to know that these are only preproduction items, and therefore are bound to change or be upgraded by Hasbro before their release. So, true, some of them look rather crude, but we should wait until pictures of the final products are released before jumping to conclusions.

Hey folks! Told you the news would keep on arriving! Today, we're happy to present you the first (official) look at the Indominus Rex, through Hasbro publicity photos released for the US Toy Fair (which starts today). And if that wasn't enough, you can also feast your eyes on the Stomp & Strike (previously known as Mega-Strike) Rex, as well as the first aquatic reptile released in a Jurassic Park line: the Mosasaurus! These pictures also reveal Hasbro's new way of dealing with dino-damage cover. As you can see on the vehicle vs. dino sets, the wound cover can now slide to reveal the dino's insides, a great way not to lose the skin piece (and that happened to ALL of us before). You can also see better pictures of previously-seen figures, like the Allosaurus (with an updated and much better looking head), the Dilophosaurus (with a functional frill, finally!), or the Ceratosaurus, sporting its JP3 colors. So yeah, while we can be disappointed about the lack of licensed character human figures, this new line shows a lot of potential. We'll see if that quality will remain on what we see in the stores, starting in May, and also, we don't know what else is to be discovered, like that rumor about 5 new Dino Showdown packs being released. Also, as you may know, the last Jurassic World figures have recently been released, putting an end to this line. But what's next, you may ask? Well, nothing concrete yet, but several rumors are mentioning a 2016 line called "Jurassic World Hybrids" (no, nothing to do with the infamous JP Dinosaurs Hybrids line released many years ago). So far, nothing is known about this new line, but considering the big success of this years's line, it's no wonder Hasbro wants to continue to surf on the Jurassic World wave. We'll see if it's a good or a bad thing!

Hey folks! What's the best way to start 2016? By discovering what the new Jurassic World Hybrid (or Dino Hybrid, according to the packaging) line will look like, of course! Thanks to ChrisLikesDinos, we have our first look at the Hybrid FX T-Rex, a retool of last year's Chomping Rex, packing a few new tricks: along with the chomping attack, this figure now has roaring sounds, and, as you can see, huge spikes sprouting out of its back, not unlike Chaos Effect's Amargospinus, all for (reportedly) the same price than the original toy. Like it? Hate it? At least, Hasbro didn't stop at a mere repaint and went the extra mile to retool this figure. We'll see what the rest of the line will look like, especially with recently uncovered figures like the Pteraminus, which have been added to the list below. Enjoy!

There you have it! For a quickly thrown together line, there's a lot to like! Even though it mainly consists of retools and repaints, you can see some ameliorations (paint jobs, for example) when compared to last year's Jurassic World series. And we finally got a human figure! That set would have been a killer when the movie was released, but we're sure it'll still fly off the shelves! So, enjoy, and stay tuned as we uncover more info and pictures!

This is it, the end of an era. For the first time since the release of the first Jurassic Park, future JP toys won't be produced by Hasbro (who absorbed Kenner in 2000) anymore, but by Mattel...

Back on Monday 18th, everyone was taken aback by an announcement by Brian Goldner, CEO of Hasbro, as reported by CNBC, as you can read here:

“We have had a many year relationship with Universal; we will no longer handle ‘Jurassic Park’ because they are unable to arrive at a mutually beneficial financial arrangement on that brand.”

Even though rumors of a Raptor Squad and a classic JP line planned for 2017 were starting to hit the web, and even reports of Hasbro already starting to work on the Jurassic World 2 line, things would not go as expected. The main reason for this license loss was apparently much lower sales on the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2015 (then again, when you see the very few new figures released and the overall quality of what was on the shelves back then, it could be expected). Still, while this came off as a surprise, many fans actually rejoiced when this was announced, which can easily be understandable when you look at the lackluster treatment of the JP brand by Hasbro for many years (some would say since 2001...).

And the very next day, an official announcement was made by Chris Sinclair, Mattel's Chairman and CEO:

We are honored that NBCUniversal chose Mattel to help bring the Jurassic World brand to life, and we look forward to developing multiple new lines of innovative, engaging toys and products. Spanning three decades of sustained worldwide popularity, few entertainment properties have so successfully captured the collective imagination of millions of fans around the world, and we are delighted to be a part of this truly evergreen franchise.

Vince Klaseus, President of NBC-Universal Brand Development, also spoke about the matter:

We are looking forward to collaborating with Mattel and broadening Jurassic World products worldwide. The appetite for the franchise globally is stronger than ever with consumers wanting more. Mattel's global support, creativity and category approach to expand our franchise makes them the best choice to partner with for this brand, bringing innovation, technology and a host of new ways to play. Jurassic World is more than awe-inspiring blockbuster films, it's a brand that has been reaching consumers for more than twenty years on everything from video games, toys and apparel, to theme park attractions and live events. Our focus for the franchise is to continue to collaborate with best-in-class partners as we build and expand this iconic property into a mega-brand across our Universal platforms.

So there you have it: Mattel will inherit the JP license on July 2017, with their first products planned to hit shelves early 2018. Obviously, it's still too early to know what will happen with the current Dino Hybrid line (which currently only has three items released so far and is plagued with total lack of brand support and catastrophic distribution), and to the rumored Raptor Squad and Classic lines. Will Hasbro try to milk the license while they still own it? Time will tell... And as far as Mattel goes, while their previous offerings were hit or miss, their latest lines (Ghostbusters, DC Multiverse, ...) are mostly appreciated by toy collectors, and Mattel has an history of good relationship with fans and adult collectors (the Master of the Universe toy line comes to mind), so we think we can remain optimistic about what the future has in store for us, JP collectors. And we're sure that at least, they will realize that it's normal for a Velociraptor figure to have sickle claws...

Hey folks! Long time without any update (the joys of having a kid ), huh? But it was worth the wait, this one is potentially huge!

As we told you last time, Mattel inherited the Jurassic Park/world license from Hasbro, and revealed they were planning big things for the brand. Indeed, Jurassic Outpost managed to dig up what we can be expecting from Mattel, and if they're correct (and they're usually more than reliable), we're going to have the best Jurassic toy line since, at the very least, 1997 (The Lost World line)! Here's the full scoop:

Recently, Mattel held a showcase for vendors, licencors, and more where they showed off their in-development and upcoming lines. As you can imagine, Jurassic World was there – and from what we have heard, it was easily the biggest highlight of any Mattel offering. We’re going to avoid going into too deep into specifics, as certain items will spoil future surprises, including things about the new film.

However, this is the lay of the land for the upcoming Jurassic World toys from Mattel:

3 3/4″ HUMAN ACTION FIGURES ($10)

Yes, human action figures are back – they will be roughly 3 3/4″ tall, and in scale with past Hasbro offerings. They will follow the Kenner styling of including a small or hatchling dinosaur, and some gear/weapons. However, from our understanding the gear skews more towards collectors than play factor (as in Dr. Ian Malcolm includes a film accurate flare – not a net launcher) – and the toys have articulation that will surely please.

BASIC DINOSAUR FIGURES ($10)

The bread and butter of the line – the dinosaurs are back! Roughly 6″ long, these are comparable to the basic non-electronic dinosaurs of the Kenner toy lines (or the Bash & Bites from Jurassic World). Much like classic Kenner, these dinosaurs are not dressed with permanent mortal wounds, and have simple articulation tied to a basic action feature. One of my favorite bits of news: size of the dinosaurs are considered when choosing what type of toy to make. There will be no miniature adult Tyrannosaurs – it will focus on smaller species like Velociraptor, and Gallimimus.

ROARIVORES (ELECTRONIC DINOSAUR FIGURES) ($15)

Slightly larger than the basic dinosaur figures, these toys focus on electronic roars tied to a biting mechanism. They again do not have open wounds, and while they are not posed as neutrally as classic Kenner toys, they are less awkard than the Jurassic Park 3 offerings. Again, the size of the dinosaurs were considered when developing these toys – so at this time, there are no electronic Velociraptors, but rather species of a larger size will be focused on.

SUPER STRIKE DINOS (DELUXE DINOSAUR FIGURES) ($20)

Slightly larger than the electronic figures, these hearken back to the classic non electronic Kenner dinosaurs of the medium size. An example that was described to use was a Stegosaurus with a tail swinging action that was very Kenner in looks. However, it was apparently closer in size to the JP 2013 Dino Showdows Pachyrhinosaurs.

LARGE DINOSAUR FIGURES (PRICES VARY)

Yes, they have a Tyrannosaurus Rex (two in fact!) and we have heard both steal the show. We’re going to avoid describing them anymore, as they’re worth waiting for the official reveal to be surprised! But it’s worth noting that there are more than Tyrannosaurs in the large scale, and some figures use a “Real feel” latex/rubber, have action features, and electronic roars.

VEHICLES (PRICES VARY)

Not much to say other than they’re film accurate, look awesome, and are scaled to the human figures. Everything in this line is sized correctly, much like the classic Kenner toys. The classic Jurassic Park Jeep has a few details super fans are sure to LOVE!

MATCHBOX (PRICES VARY)

Gone are the fictional vehicles – they’re being replaced with small film accurate vehicles from all five films! Some include small dinosaurs, and the entire lineup was described as similar to the Micro Machines (but bigger) sold alongside The Lost World. This includes some very cool playsets based upon movie moments!

GAMES (PRICES VARY)

There will be games – including something tied to pivotal plot elements of Jurassic World 2!

VARIOUS ‘SMART’/ELECTRONIC TOYS (PRICES VARY)

Drones, remote control vehicles, and more! While a lot of these won’t be cheap, they do offer great modern play functionality.

Some key notes: Mattel’s first Jurassic World lineup will be called something similar to ‘Jurassic World: The Classic Collection’. This lineup is scheduled to hit stores late this year or early next year, and is mainly based upon the first Jurassic Park. While they boast film accuracy for all their items, it does seem to also borrow from Kenner by featuring dinosaurs never seen in the films.

Sometime early spring (mid April) in 2018 the Jurassic World 2 toys will begin to arrive in stores. Much like the classic Jurassic line, it boasts film accuracy and a multitude of figures and offerings. From there, the line should continue to populate shelves with new waves featuring figures from the latest sequel, or past films. There are apparently quite a few more classes/skus of toys from Mattel than those listed above, so there are plenty of surprises in store!

It’s worth noting that some of the basic dinosaur figures were described as slightly exaggerated looking, with proportions and poses that were more cartoony than realistic. Our hope is that between now and release, those items will be refined and perfected to better match their film counterparts (and proper realistic anatomical poses). Otherwise, we’re thrilled by what the line is slated to offer, and cannot wait to see photo’s from it – there are quite a few more surprises Mattel has up their sleeves, so stay tuned!

So there you have it! While of course we'll have to wait and see if this almost "too-good-to-be-true" new line is indeed as amazing as it is on paper, but one thing if for sure, Mattel fully understand what we, fans, have always wanted, something we have waited for so long from Hasbro, all in vain... The only downside is the last part about "slightly exaggerated looking" figures, but we'll remain hopeful until the first pictures start leaking. But in any case, as the saying goes, "good things come to those who wait". And it appears that the wait for a true Jurassic Park toy line is coming to an end, finally. Hey folks! Today (well, yesterday) was the day JPtoys fans have been waiting for since 1997: we finally have a new toyline worthy of what Kenner did in the Lost World line, and dare I say it, a toyline that is better than the TLW line in many aspects. Bold statement, I know, but here, take a look at this small preview of what we can expect from this line:

Yup, what you seeing is real: giant Mosasaurus, 3" 3/4 figures (including, yes, an Alan Grant figure from the first movie), dinos in scale with the human figures, new vehicles (including a RC Gyrosphere), new species and older ones that definitely needed an update (I'm looking at you, '94 Gallimimus). This alone would have been a dream line when Hasbro owned the license. So, can you believe that this picture shows a very small part of what Mattel has in store for us, including a 3 feet long Super Colossal T-Rex, big vehicles, a classic line inspired by the first movie (the Alan Grant figure seen above comes from that line), an Herrerasaurus confirmed by Universal to be designed after the Telltale game version of this animal, obscure species never seen before in the various JP lines (Suchomimus, Protoceratops, Minmi, and many more), super-articulated figures (ball-jointed arms and legs on dinos, and an Indoraptor with over 15 points of articulation? Indeed!), an awesome packaging which pays homage to the first movie line, and many more? And to think word on the street has it that Mattel had to rush this line and couldn't spend as much time in Research & Development as they would have liked (hence the huge feet several figures sadly sport), we can only wonder what the following years will bring us, if this line is a success. And we're sure it will be.

As we mentioned above, a selection of items from this new line were shown yesterday during the Universal Pictures Toy Fair preview day event, where our good friend Chris Pugh, from Jurassic Outpost, was present and managed to take hundreds of pictures (which you can see on their Facebook page). He also uploaded a very cool video, which gives you an nice overview of what was shown:

Feeling the excitement yet? We know we do! After years of having to settle with sub-par quality toys and total lack of new ones for several years, we can say that Mattel is a true blessing for our small collecting world. And it's just the beginning... To give you an idea of how much Mattel is leaps and bounds beyond Hasbro, we uploaded Hasbro's (hopefully) last line in our database: the Dino Hybrid line. It speaks for itself...

Also, NY Toy Fair is just getting started, and many more new items will be shown in the following days. Hey folks! While Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is slowly seeing release around the globe, for those who didn't have the opportunity to see it yet, is there a better way to spend time than by reading the first ever book about the various Jurassic Park/World toylines and collectibles, written by Belgian collector (and personal friend) Kristof Thijs? This 96 pages book goes through the whole Kenner/Hasbro era (from 1993 to 2016), with chapters focusing on the main lines and including full-color pictures and many details about these lines we all love. A definitive must-have for every JP collector or fan around the globe, strongly recommended by yours truly.

The Jurassic Park dinosaurs were unleashed on the world in 1993. Just like the flock of Gallimimus swarming over the plains of Isla Nublar, the movie took the world by storm, making it the highest grossing movie of its time. A popular toy line by Kenner was released along with the movie, followed by many other products bearing the Jurassic Park logo and JP initials. Store shelves were filled with action figures, dinosaur models and hundreds of other products, from bedsheets to potato crisps. Between 1997 and 2015, three more Jurassic Park movies were released, each with their own distinctive toys and collectibles, each time bigger, better and with more teeth. Jurassic Park Collectibles spares no expense in taking you back in time to the early 90s for a nostalgic twenty-five year time travel through the history of collecting Jurassic Park. Hold on to your hats for a collection 65 million years in the making.

Hey folks! As most of you may know, the annual San Diego Comic Con is currently taking place. And of course, Mattel has a big stand in order to promote their Jurassic World line, showing most of what has been released so far, as well as a few yet-to-be-released figures, including a new 6 inches collector series, planned to be released during Fall 2019! This new line was totally unexpected, and raises a lot of hope from fans, as well as some fears that, by splitting the line, Mattel may make the same mistake as Hasbro for their Star Wars line, and lower the overall quality of their brand, especially the 3 3/4" main line. But we need to remember that Mattel definitely isn't Hasbro (the 2018 line speaks for itself), and Mattel representatives were quickly to reassure fans by explaining that this new collector line would be rather small and that the main focus will remain on the historical 3 3/4" line. So, let's keep our hopes up, and marvel at the first three figures revealed: Owen Grady, Blue, and fan-favorite Ian Malcolm from the first JP movie:

But of course, Mattel didn't stop at this reveal, and gave us sneak-peeks at what kind of treats await us for 2019, and trust us, this line shows no sign of slowing down. We'll of course have new human figures to collect (a new Franklin Webb, pictured below, was shown, and there was even a small hint at a potential John Hammond figure), and they confirmed that we'll see 16 new dinosaur species, including a Styracosaurus (a 3D representation was shown, and you can see the figure itself in our "2019 line-up leaked" article), as well as silhouettes of two new full-sized sauropod (unlike JP3's Brachiosaurus or Chaos Effect's Amargospinus): an Action Attack-sized Amargasaurus, as well as, after 25 years of waiting, a Brachiosaurus figure, which appears to be around 2 feet tall and 3 feet long! Yup, you read that right! And if that wasn't enough, word on the street has it that we should be seeing species like Parasaurolophus, Coelurus, Dracorex, Rhamphorhynchus, Plesiosaurus, and of course the Indominus Rex. Better starting to organize your shelves in order to make space for all these new critters!

Hey folks, it's been a while! As you know, the 2019 New York Toy Fair came and went, and even though it was rather underwhelming, considering the few new items that were shown, it didn't stop Mattel from stealing the show with their long rumored Indominus Rex being finally fully revelead! Besides, many people were expecting to see the giant Legacy Brachiosaurus shown during that show, but even though it wasn't present in "person", Mattel was quick to post online a picture of this magnificient beast in all of its glory, along with the good news that even if the Legacy line is a Target exclusive, they were going to try and release it worldwide in the regular line. Good news for us overseas collectors! You can see these new figures, both expected to be released during Fall, as well as many others, in our 2019 checklist right below. You know the drill, many of these figures being unconfirmed, this list may end up being slightly incorrect, but the vast majority of it shouldn't be. Hey folks! How about some rumors for next year's line? Our forum member and friend Diamondback managed to gather a lot of intel from various resources, enough to start having an idea of what 2021 has in stores for us. Here are several facts he managed to uncover:

• Expected to debut with 2021's line second wave, the various sublines should see a rebranding: Attack Pack will be replaced by new Wild Pack, upgraded to Savage Strike-style gimmicks
• Savage Strike possibly discontinued--possibly Wild Pack is a merger, expensive Savage Strike gimmicks with cheaper Attack Pack decoes
• Roar Attack will replace Sound Strike
• Massive Biters replaced by similar-size new Mega Destroyer (rumored to include capture gear)
• Between the capture gear and the Nostalgia Trip Gallimimus deco, it's looking like Mattel is really trying to take inspiration from Classic Kenner
• Some dinos still listed under codenames at Universal insistence to avoid spoilers

Update: as you may know, the release of Jurassic World Dominion was postponed in 2022, thus forcing Mattel to totally reorganize next year's line-up. Our very own Diamondback, along with our friends over at Collect Jurassic managed to dig up juicy info about what to expect next year. And this new line, called Dino Escape, should definitely deliver! Much of what we already knew was confirmed by Collect Jurassic's report, but they revealed something quite interesting that had been hinted at by Mattel before: a new sub-line consisting of human/dino two-packs, an excellent way to release new human figures (which are usually slower sellers than dinosaurs) without risking to see them clogging up shelves (everyone remembers the dozens of Owens in their local store). Great move, Mattel! And of course, as usual, take all this with a grain of salt, as plans can always change in the toy industry, especially with the current Covid situation. Take care of yourself and your close ones, and enjoy!

Of course, as always, this list doesn't come from official sources and is potentially subject to change (especially this year). But that should give you a good idea of what we can expect in 2021. Mattel has brought upon us a lot of things to love in 2023, with fun '93 homages, toys we would never have expected to have several years ago (I mean, if someone told me back in 2016-2017 that we would get an in-scale Mamenchisaurus or a Steven Spielberg action figure... :D ) and an overall satisfying continuation of our beloved Jurassic Park/World toyline. Is 2024 going to change that? Well, there's no sign pointing to it, with new '93 Classic sets planned following the tremendous success of this subline in 2023, a new mid-size format for the Hammond Collection, allowing for long-awated species like Carnotaurus to be released in the correct scale, and more... Not entirely toy related, but because we here at JPToys.com like to showcase our own, forum member and former moderator Stitch has posted his take on a Blue Harvest style Family Guy cartoon episode. It has already been showcased on the Freakin' Sweet News website and is the first post in their new fan art section.

A JP3 toy to be exact! Here's their review: We absolutely cannot wait until May. First the trailer, then the merchandise. Yes, there have been reports have merchandise being released and 'on the loose' now, but the action figures, the staple of the JP3 merchandise, is released in May. That's why we were so excited to when we got the chance to get our grubby little paws latched onto an official JP3 action figure from Hasbro. We've taken a few pictures (although not the greatest in quality) and we've got a few details - and we think you should start becoming very excited. Right about... Now. For a while we wrestled with the option of tearing the package open and playing blissfully with our action figure for hours, but ultimately decided to keep the figure safely in its' case, and placing somewhere safe - and high (encased in a high-security, titanium reinforced, air-tight room) - where we could 'honor' this magnificent creation. OK, maybe we went a bit overboard, but lets just get this straight, the figure looks great. The Military General (the toy we received) is accompanied by a T-Rex and a really cool looking gun; but we have no idea what to call it. The detail level on the figure is extraordinary - at least (seemingly) twice the detail of the Jurassic Park/The Lost World figures. Although you won't be able to appreciate the detail on the toy until you get up close, take our word for it, it's good. Not too much else to report, the packaging is cool, featuring a roaring Spino in the front (ready to bite!) and the backside is a little preview/advertisement for similar-priced figures (we assume). The summary of the action figures is as follows: Heroic humans fight for survival with ferocious dinos using Re-ak-A-tak action! Make dinosaurs ATTACK with awesome battle action while the heroes REACT with dino-tame weapons! If we're not mistaken, we've heard this before (in the press release?), but evidently this is what's going on the back of the human figurines. WOW! I can't wait any longer! "Shelley" sent inGenNet this bit of great news on her finding of some JP3 figures: "I have a scutosaurus (green with dino damage and fighting action), and possibly a estemmenosuchues (blue colered). they came in a 2 pack with a figure with alan grants series two body and different head with hat on backwards. I also have [a] utahraptor that came with t-rex turner figure. kicks. no roar." Have you spotted any JP3 figures yet? If you do, send me an e-mail and I'll post the great news right away!

Thanks to "TeenJ" who corrected me on my posting of the "FIGURES SHOWING UP" story. "TeenJ" said that the dinos that "Shelley" reported to seeing were actually TLW toys. Sorry for the mis-information and thanks again to "TeenJ" for pointing it out.

Well, after e-mailing me to tell me that he had this toy in his hands and was preparing a review for it, it was very hard to keep quiet on this one! But their review is here for the Spinosarus and here's the highlights (go to jp3hq.com for the full review): The Spinosaurus comes in an open-air package, i.e. kids (or interested adults) can press all the cool buttons, play with the moveable parts, and generally mess around with it. Whether or not this is good or bad we do not know, but this does provide a good viewpoint to examine the overall dinosaur. So the detail level Good, but not great. It seems that with the increase in size, the attention to detail went down somewhat, but the average consumer probably will not notice or care very much. How about dinosaur detail? Im no dinosaur expert, but the spine on the Spinosaurus seemed awfully small our explanation would be that this is a juvenile, although the package does not say it is. Perhaps the most expensive piece to the set; the large ultra-realistic Spino-dino is the adult? Re-ak A-tak. Ever since we heard this new saying (last summer?) we have had high hopes for this series of product, and wondered what it would entail. Finally, we get an answer. Electronic dinosaur might have been enough to describe the Spinosaurus the A-tak (Attack) is simply pressing the button beneath the mouth, and the Re-ak (React) is achieved by pressing the button hidden in the dinosaurs wound. To some degree we can understand where Hasbro is coming from when they say it reacts and attacks, but it really is just a new name to an old feature. Not that the feature is bad the roars are crisp (more of a short high-pitched roar when compared to the past T-Rex toys), and the Spino includes a satisfactory amount of moveable parts. All in all, the Spinosaurus represents a good, solid toy; but it simply does not bring anything new to the table. HASBRO SALES HURTING Here's what the article had to say (go to excite.com for the full story): Hasbro said its quarterly global net revenues fell 40 percent to .3 million, compared with .5 million in the year-ago period. Sales from the Game and U.S. Toys segments declined year over year, chiefly due to slower demand for Pokemon trading card games and toys and the sale of its interactive unit. The article went on to say that there is still hope, "I don't think there is anything going in the toy sector right now to draw consumers into the stores, but there are bright spots," she said. In particular, market watchers said sales of toys related to the new Jurassic Park and Monsters Inc. movies could bolster Hasbro revenues. Thanks JP3 HQ!

Dan has posted a story with some pictures of JP3 merchandise shown at the Paris Electronics Fair. The JP3 items shown are a Dino Digs Excavation kit and some JP3 keychains.

After weeks of checking and checking, my local Wal-Mart finally received a shipment of JP/// merchandise. The only line they had was the "Re-Ak A-Tak" line. I was only able to pick up a couple right now (some of us have a budget to stick to ) . The two I chose were the Velociraptor and the Spinosaurus, next time around I'll get the Triceratops and T-Rex. As for the look of these new dinos, to be so small I thought they had excellent detail and great colors. I was able to pick them up for what I thought was a very decent price, $9.73. Most people have been reporting prices of over $10. If you have any other questions you would like to ask me about the Spino or the raptor please e-mail me and I'll be glad to answer your questions!

In part one of our look at the new JP/// toys, we'll take a look at the Alpha Velociraptor and the Spinosaurus. Also, Don't forget to vote in our current poll which is a very important one concerning a pending site addition that you could decide! Alpha Velociraptor- When I first saw this new raptor the thing that struck me the most was the great use of colors. Not only did the raptor have great colors but they looked realistic. I know that no one can actually know what a real dinosaur looks like but with previous attempts at making the raptors with new colors (TLW Cyclops Raptor) it just didn't have an authentic look. The new Raptor has two different electronic sounds that add too the enjoyment of this new toy. The first button is located right under the base of the neck and blends in very well with the red stripe running down its back. The sound is best described as a snort followed by the loud raptor scream that we've come accustomed to in the movies. The second "Dino Roar" is located near the base of the tail and is camoflaged with the "Dino Damage" wound very well. I would describe the sound as more of a raptor snarl than anything else. Now on to the measurements. The Alpha raptor in the box measures about 7 1/2 inches from head to tail. At first, I was very surprised in that I thought the "Re-Ak At-Ak" line would be a little bigger, but with the improvements in the coloring of the raptor and the cool sounds I give this new raptor 4 out of 5 stars. The only problem I had with the Alpha Raptor was that it was very hard to pose. The only thing that moves are the arms and legs, the head pose and the tail remain stationary. Spinosaurus - The Spinosaurus has some of the best detail for a smaller dinosaur toy that I've ever seen! The basic color used was brown mixed with what looks like a little bit of gold? All in all I thought it looked great and kind of reminded me of some of the coloring from the Dinosaurs (T-Rex and the Velociraptor) from the original Jurassic Park movie, kind of a throwback if you will. Like the Alpha Raptor this new dino also has two places for electronic roars called "Dino Roars". The first button is found under the neck of the Spino and is best described as a roar. The second button is found in the "dino damage" wound of the Spino and sounds more like a scream when compared to the roaring sound found under the neck. In the box the Spinosaurus measures about 8 inches from head to tail. It has moveable arms and legs, but once again a stationary head and tail, which allows for no movement at all. Compared to previous attempts at the Spinosaurus by the toy lines, I'll give this new attempt a 5 star rating. That does it for this first review, but make sure to check back soon when I'll be reviewing more toys from the Re-ak At-ak line for you. Next up for review: The T-Rex and the Triceratops.

After reading our review make sure to check out our new Review section which is where you can find our past toy reviews as well as reviews sent in by you. In part two of our look at the new JP/// toys we'll take a look at the T-Rex and the Triceratops. My review will be broken down into four sections: color, sounds, measurements and finally an overall rating of the dinosaur. We'll start with the T-rex. T-Rex - Is this guy ready to sign up for the military or what? This new Rex almost look like he's wearing camoflage with it's use of mostly green and brown colors with a few black stripes thrown in here and there for some flavor (I feel like I'm cooking here!). The Rex has two sounds a.k.a. "dino roars" that are activated by pressing two different buttons. The first button that I came across was the one located just under his neck. When pressed the Rex opens his jaws and lets out a mighty roar that somewhat resembles the one that we've heard before in the movies. The one problem that I have with these sounds is that they are very harsh sounding sometimes. I sounds more like a "dino scream" than a "dino roar" if you know what I mean. Compared to other versions of the Rex that have been released, this one definitely falls way short of my expectations. Just like the Alpha Raptor and the Spinosaurus, I was expecting a much larger dinosaur. Also, the lack of any real ability to pose or move these new toys forces me to give this particular T-Rex 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. Triceratops - One of everbody's favorite dinosaurs is the triceratops and I thought he was well represented here with a nice color scheme. The most dominant color is brown mixed with a few darker spots here and there. The horns are colored white as is several spots that line the crest of this toy. With the attempts at recreating "dino roars" with these new toys, one has to wonder "we're they right"? Well, who knows but I'm not exactly sure what they were aiming at with this one. This tric lets out more of a scream than a roar, although the scream does try to turn into a roar near the end. Like the Rex, the trics electronic dino roar is located in the dino damaged wound are camoflaged as part of a bone. My first impression of the new triceratops was "not that bad". The nice use of colors and accurate looking skin texture gave this dino a fresh new look. Not to mention you can actually move this guy around a little better by moving his head up and down and the tail is made out of rubber which makes it a little more flexible than the other dinos. My final review for this tric : 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. Now go check out our new review section where Chris sent in a great review on his thoughts of the new toys. TOY DIVER PICTURE

I'm working very hard on a couple of reviews for the site today as well as a review or two sent in by some of you guys. Until then this should hold you over, "Darth Maul Sith Lord" at InGenOps posted this picture on the inGenNet forum of the Military diver that is supposed to come with the Spinosaurus. The detail of the figure is hard to make out but very cool nontheless! Rember to check back later today when I'll have my review of the T-Rex and the Triceratops from the "Re-ak A-tak" line.

Before we get to his great review, I would like to welcome Nick (jp3rapter) to our team here at JP TOYS CENTRAL. He will be helping me with the day to day chores of keeping you up to date with the latest JP toy news, and what a way to kick of his debut than with a two part review (part 3 & 4 should be up sometime tomorrow or early Saturday) taking a look at the Amanda Kirby and Alan Grant figures. Here what he had to say: Part three of the review will be about the figures from JP3. The figures are all well detailed, but smaller in size compared to JP and TLW figures. Well let’s get on with the review. Amanda Kirby and Spinosaurus-when I bought this figure I could see the difference in size. Amanda Kirby is about 3 and a half inches tall, while the old figures are about FIVE inches tall. Big difference. She with a small three prodded looking missile with an oversized launcher, which looks like a machine gun. Her clothes are very detailed with a rip in her left pant leg. She wears a white undershirt, Blue button up shirt, black gloves, tan pants and black boots. Included in the package was a juvenile dino. Not like the old dinos, which were all babies, this dino is bigger and badder. It comes with a juvenile Spinosaurus. As the figure the Spino is well detailed. The spino is about 2 and a half inches tall and about 4 and a half inches long. The colors of the Dino are really cool too. Its indigo or tan middle of body down and brown from the back to fin with blue streaks inside the Spino’s fin. It’s better in size and detail than the old Dino’s. I was satisfied with my purchase. Besides the difference in size with the figure and weapon, but well satisfied with the dino. The package is pretty cool too. It’s made of red rock (cardboard) with a Spino breaking through the left corner, which is pretty cool. At the edge of the right side in a striped warning sign. My overall rating for this figure is 4 out of 5 stars. Dr. Alan Grant & Velociraptor-This was the first figure I bought. At a price of 5.79, I thought it was decent. This figure is 3 in a half inches tall as with all the other figures. He’s not wearing a hat this time (??????????). He does wear a white button up shirt with a bandana tied around his neck, black gloves, brown belt, green pants with a tear in the right pant leg, and black shoes. He comes with a rather cool weapon, which is to, a bit to big for him. He comes with a grapple hand or whatever you want to call it. It is pretty cool because it actually opens and closes. Included in his package was a juvenile Velociraptor. It’s about 2 inches tall and 4 inches long. Its whole body accept for it’s back which is red, is dark brown with dark blue strips all around. To me it looks like a Cyclops Raptor from TLW and JP Dino’s, but smaller and in a different color. It to is well detailed. Since this was the first figure I bought, I was very excited to open it up and play around with it. I was very please to with my purchase of this figure. The package did not change at all besides the name at the bottom. All I’m wondering is “why did Hasbro make them so dang small.” But my overall rating out of five will have to be a 4.5!

Hot off the presses are theses two new reviews from our resident reviewer Nick. He took the time to review the Military General and the Eric Kirby figures. If you missed his first two reviews, check under the news for May 17th. Here's what Nick had to say: Military General & T-rex-This figure was the first with Dr. Alan Grant (see review). He is the tallest out of all the figures in this series. He’s about 4 inches tall. Half an inch taller. As most military people he wears a grayish green tank top with, a camouflage shirt and pants, dog tags, and black boots. On his left leg there’s a slash but the weird thing about it is that it’s not open. Well that’s for me, maybe it’s open for others but I don’t really know. He to comes with an oversized gun. To me it looks as if a heavy gas powered gun witch fires a long orange missile. What stinks about him is the gun is to big for him and it doesn’t stay in his hand. Included with him is a juvenile T-rex, which doesn’t satisfy my needs for a baby dino. To me it looks exactly like the bull T-rex from the lost world but smaller and in different colors. The Rex is brown and a grayish- greenish all over with black strips on its back. The dino is 2 1/2 inches tall and about 5 inches long. What I dislike most about it is that it stands up by a small plat form type thingy on each leg. It makes it look even worse. The Military General is probably the most detailed figure in the series. But the Dino could have been a lot better. The package is the same as all the rest but with a different name. The best feature of this figure is probably the details on it. So, I'd have to give this figure a 3.5 out of five stars. Eric Kirby & Alpha Pteranodon-This figure set is probably the best set in the series, well to me. The only negative thing about him is that he’s a bit too short. How short, well try 3 inches, that’s a little too short for my expectations. He is well detailed, but only his arms and hips move. His legs don’t move and he doesn’t stand up straight. He really doesn’t come with much besides a flashlight which stays in his hand (must have something to do with the movie). He wears a white undershirt, a red t-shirt with a tear on the end of the sleeve, green belt, blue shorts, brown backpack, And what seems to be either a GPS or a Gameboy. Included with this package is an Alpha Pteranodon. The Pteranodon is quite different than the TLW pteranodons. The dino is about 4 inches standing and its wingspan reaches a length of about 9 1/2 inches long. What makes it the coolest set is that the Pteranodon can grab Eric by the shoulders in it claws. That’s pretty cool to me. This too must have something to do with the movie?!? To rap up the review about this figure, Id like to say they did a wonderful job detailing him but they made him to small, but we can’t change that now. The whole set was really well detailed. So my overall rating for this figure is 4 stars out of 5. There are going to be things said that will be negative and some that will be positive. All we can hope for is that if there is going to be a forth Jurassic park movie that Hasbro will bring back the old sizes in the figures and weapons, but keep the size in the dino included. We can only hope!

I put it off for a long time while working on other site additions, but I finally got around to adding some hatchling series photos for your viewing pleasure. I'm constantly adding and updating photos in the various sections so make sure you keep checking back. Speaking of updating photos, I've updated the JP/// series with some pictures of theses guys in their actual boxes instead of those old toy fair pictures that we had before, so check them out! RELEASE DATE FOR JP3 TRADING CARDS I'm not a big card collector myself but I know that some of you that check this site probably are, so I thought I'd pass along this bit of info. that was found on e-bay. This promo sheet for the new cards which will be released on July 5th, announces a new 3-D technology which seems to make the dinosaurs jump off the card at you! "Canebrake" posted these very cool pictures of the new Air Heli Sabre Marine Copter over at the inGenNet forums. Here's his description of it: 1. Electrical sounds for the helicopter's blades 2. Electrical "firing" sounds when missle is launched 3. Electrical "damage" sounds when the dino-damage peice is taken off It sounds like the thing is crashing. 4. Blades twirl when you turn a dial 5. Missle fires 6. Cool paint job! Two-toned green. 7. Realistic pilot with oxygen mask and detailed life support system 8. Opening hatch and engine cover 9. Not exactly toy news but worth passing along anyway. I ran across this photo of the JP/// Burger King prompotion sheet at Dan's this afternoon. In the picture you can see the four new cups and the special box of dinosaur cookies. When I last reported about the Burger King promo we were not sure if this was going to be a "Canadian" only promo or a joint promo with the U.S. but it looks as if this particular deal will be for those lucky Canadians only with the U.S. Burger King's promoting the movie "Shrek" at this time. RAPTOR RUMBLE STUDIO BOX SHOT

Well, it's too late to bid on this item which was won on ebay (it was won with the buy it now option) but we still get to see a new box shot photo of the LEGO Raptor Rumble Studio.

It seems like the only news updates we've had for you recently are reviews but this one was sent in over at Dan's JP3 page by "Kyle Hatch" of the new Raptor Rumble playset from LEGO. It's a good review and worth passing along so here's what he had to say: "So far, there seems to have been a great deal of negative buzz in the JP3 toys department, particularly when it comes to the two JP3 LEGO Studios sets. However, I've recently bought set #1370, "Raptor Rumble Studio" and I think both LEGO fans, and non-fans will be pleasantly surprised! One of the first things I noticed about the set were the minifigs, they're hard to miss. While the two cast figures bare no resemblance to those in JP3 (The guy is none other than LEGO Adventurer "Johnny Thunder", and the girl is also nothing new) However, the cameraman is pretty cool, excellent detail and personality for a minifig, actually kinda looks a little like Macy! The video camera he holds is also really neat, even comes with a little 1x2stud tape, which slides right inside! The movie set itself is by far the coolest part; it's filled with all kinds of little details and special effects!\ The set comes with a little 6x6stud clear dome, which can be flipped open and closed. Both windows on the lab can 'break' open sideways, (Providing easy access for hungry raptors!) and if that weren't enough, the entire roof of the lab, including the dome, is detachable! All pieces included can also be rebuilt to create a hanglider for two. And then there are the dinos -- it includes two raptors and a pteronodon. They may not bare an exact resemblance to those in the movie, but the liberties taken make these figures extremely poseable -- especially the raptors! My only disappointments are that the dino's heads aren't able to open or close, and that the actors included look absolutely nothing like the JP3 cast. But this certainly shouldn't discourage you from at least considering to buy this se -- if you're into JP toys, you shouldn't be disappointed here!"

Great news from my buddy Dan who e-mailed a Hasbro rep and asked her about the release of the 2nd wave of JP/// toys. She basically said that wave two (including Alan Grant/wCompies, Paul Kirby w/Stegosaurus, and the Military diver w/Aqua Spino) have all shipped to the stores and depending on how fast they get there and how fast they're put out on the shelves, that we should be seeing them by the end of this month! This is definitely great news, and be sure to let us know if you spot any of these new wave two dinos/figures in the stores.

While checking the inGenNet forums, Dan noticed that several people have reported seeing some of the new JP/// poseable dinosaurs in their local area. One member in particular "Tyrant" reported seeing a Spinosaurus and a Velociraptor. He went on to say that they are 8-9 inches high and 15-20 inches long and they reatiled at about $12.99 each. Let us know if you spot any!

Why am I posting this as toy news you might ask? Well, for one reason this newly opened JP Institute does have a toys & games section (they only have a few JP/// toys in their section right now) and the other reason is that it's just an awesome site! Any dionsaur nut (myself included) really owes it to themselves to check it out. Here's a little blurb from the site describing it: The formation of the Jurassic Park Institute represents the next step in the evolution of one of the most popular franchises in motion picture history - Jurassic Park. A science-based and educationally focused program, JPI has one mission - to provide kids, families, educators and scientists with the ultimate resource for dinosaur learning and fun. The latest talk over at the inGenNet forums is of these new "Dino Packs" which have been surfacing in CVS stores recently. JP: The Toys! received word that a pack can be had for around $2.99 and it contains three dinosaurs out of 18 different species that are about the size of the JP diecast dinosaurs. "pygmy allosaurus" also added this: "Depending on how big the compy is, the dino packs could be a convenient source of compies for dioramas or whatever. Every one of the species included in them have been in at least one JP movie. except Chasmosaurus. If they make a JP4, we can probably expect to see one of these. Despite Carnotaurus being in JP3, there isn't one included in the dino packs."

That's what the box says at least! Remember those cookies that were advertised with Burger King for the JP/// promotion? Well, apparently someone has decided to sell theirs on ebay. As of now, this is a Canadian only promotion so if you live in the states and would like to get your hands on a box...here's you chance! Here's the link for those interested in chowing down on some pre-historic choclate!

After reading about all the sitings of the new JP/// "Dino Packs" (see yesterday's news) I decided to go and look for myself. At the first CVS I had no luck but I decided to try another one at the other end of town, and I hit the jackpot baby! They had a display up front with about 6 or 7 packs left (I got two) and also to my surprise they had JP/// diecast and the other figures w/dinos (I picked up Amand Kirby w/Spino). Each pack contains three dinos that are very well detailed to be so small, you could actually use theses guys as hatchlings for your dioramas! As for actual sizes, they vary any where from about 1-2 inches in length. Here's something interesting that I didn't know, these packs are actually meant for playing a game! You get different scores for how the dinos land when you roll them. For example: a standing dinosaur is woth 5 points and a resting dino on its side is worth 4 points. Out of a possible 18 different species, I did pretty well in not getting any duplicates. The ones I got were: T-Rex, Baby stegosaurus, Baby Triceratops, Compsognathus. Parasaurolophus, and a Chasmasaurus. Like I said, they all have excellent detail and nice color schemes. Heres a complete list of the ones available: Dilophosaurus, T-Rex, Baby T-Rex, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus, Compsognathus, Dimetrodon, Triceratops, Baby Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Baby Stegosaurus, Chasmasaurus, Brachiosaur, Pachycephalosaurs, Parasaurolophus, Ankylasaurus, Pteranodon, and Gallimimus. So keeplooking around and maybe you'll luck up to! Sorry for the lack of a picture but I don't have access to a scanner (maybe I'll get one for my birthday!).

Here's a quick little update before I head out the door this weekend for a much needed vacation! They have pictures of the new LEGO studio sets, JP/// cups, school supplies and my favorite photo is of the new poseable dinosaurs which includes a shot of the Velociraptor. "Allosaur176" has posted his review of the new animatronic Spino over on the inGeNet boards. Here's what he had to say: "It is 23" long, other than the obvious dino damage, it also has 2 cuts on the other side of its neck... It has a posable tail.. A button at the right side base of the tailwhere the JP3 symbol is, which lowers the head and mouth opens and roars ( deeper sound than the other 2)... A button on inside under its ribs to make another sound, press once it raises its head and roars, press it again it lowers its head and roars.. The same as above for the cuts on its neck The rubber skin on its body is almost like the JP rex, cept a bit thinner The teeth are brownish color The sail is 2 1/2" high It stands 10" high at the top of the sail It has the same thrashing motion like the Thrasher rex ( move the tail side to side to make the head swing) I believe its sounds are the same as the re-ak attack one, i'll check tommorow The paint job is good ( could have been better around the wounds) On a personal note, I spotted this guy at my local Wal-Mart yesterday and I must say that I wasn't very impressed. I thought the paint job was lacking and overall the detail was low compared to some of the JP/// toys that have been released already. You'll decide for yourself but personally I don't think there's anyway that I'll be shelling out $50 for this guy.

inGenNet has posted a review of the new animatronic Spinosaurus by JP Site C. Here's some of what they had to say about it: "The Jurassic carnage continues with Hasbro's latest dino-might release, there Re-Ak A-Tak Animatronic Spinosaurus. Standing 8 inches tall, and a 2-foot length, this dinosaur is ready to duke it out with the mightiest of opponents. The sail on his back stands approximately 2 1/2 inches tall at its largest point. Finally, we get a bit of the old JP back. Real-Feel skin covers his body from head to tail. The arms and legs are molded in a hard plastic and are able to be moved. The tail has two joints in it that allow it to curve or remain straight and it allows for the thrashing action of the head, much like what we had with TLW's "Thrasher T-Rex." The roars are none other than the ones used in the small Deluxe Spinosaurus. The most impressive feature of this figure however, is its "Animatronic" features." Click here for the full review. Editor Chris Tellez from JP3 HQ brings us this rundown of some JP/// merchandise including a Play-doh set that I didn't even know existed! I guess you learn something new everday, huh? Here's what he had to say: Lego movie studio raptor rumble - this is one of the first toys we saw pictures of. This appears to be from the scene we've seen allot of on the previews and ads where the people square off with the raptors in the jungle. There is a pteranodon in the set so I'm wondering if this means they'll appear during the sequence in the movie? Lego movie studio Spinosaurus attack set- With this one you can re-create the Spino attack on the airplane. JP3 Play-doh set- You can create play-doh dinos with various molds and then use the included Spino hand puppet to eat them. Jp3 electronic re-ak attack game- Emulate the battle between Spino and t-rex. This is like the battle bot game where you try and knock the other robots head off. This is just of course with a jp3 theme. On the box it only shows the t-rex knocking off the spino. Could this be a hint of things to come, and could cast/crew be fooling us to think that t-rex is no longer going to be king?

Do you remember those candy eggs that were released with the first Jurassic Park movie back in 1993? It was basically a candy dinosaur egg that contained a miniature dinosaur inside. It seems that Paul over at JP3 HQ has spotted some new JP/// candy eggs! Here's some of what he had to say about them: "Well these JP3 eggs are identical to the JP eggs but with the new logo etched on. They too contain candy but include a more detailed miniature dinosaur!" The eggs are retailing for about $2 a piece

Thanks to Dan for pointing me to these latest photos posted by entertainmentearth.com of the wave two dinos. Included in the photo is the new Pack Raptor, Aqua Spinosaurus, and the highly anticipated Brachiosaurus! Click on the thumbnail for a larger view and note the neck on that Brachiosaur. Dan the man once again brings us some great news this time it's about the new LEGO "Dinosaur" series. Here's what he had to say: "Quite a few people on the INGennet forums have been wondering about fan-made LEGO JP dinosaurs, playsets, and the like. Well, now LEGO has created "Dinosaurs," a series of toy LEGO dinos that are detailed, poseable, and compatible with the LEGO Studios JP/// Playsets!!! Each dinosaur is from 7-11 inches long and can be transformed with other pieces into 3 other dinosaurs!!! The series includes: -Mososaurus 11 in. long, 26 pieces. Can be transformed into: -Dimetrodon -Postosuchus -Iguanadon -Brachiosaurus 10 in long, 25 pieces. Can be transformed into: -Diplodocus -Plesiosaurus -Plateosaurus -Styracosaurus 7 in. long, 19 pieces. Can be transformed into: -Triceratops -Camarasaurus -Centrosaurus -Tyrannosaurus Rex 10 in. long, 23 pieces. InGeNet has posted their review of the poseable dinos and it's not a good one and I must say that I agree with them 100%. You'll have to check them out and judge for yourself but I really think they are a huge dissapointment, Here's their review: "Prototype Beauty, Product Beast; Hasbro's Poseable Dinosaurs. I heard reports from several board members about the Poseable dinosaurs, Spinosaurus and Alpha Velociraptor being out on the shelves so i checked for myself. I found them at the local BigK Priced at $14.99, but I think they are not worth it. The spino is about 15 inches long with the raptor being a bit shorter. they are made of a soft, skin like plastic and they are well, boring. "Poseability" of them is mute and they dont pose...the tail bends a little and the head tilts some...the raptors arms dont move much, the spinos jaws look horrible, and the paint jobs are rather dull. Overall, it's a nice dinosaur if you like dinosaurs, but as for playtime, there is nothing to it. I refused to buy these, when will I buy them? When they go on discount! I give these toys a 1 out of 5, they make a nice addition to your dino collection, but they dont match what we have come to expect from Hasbro by now...." Have a great weekend everyone!

Trying his best to help keep us updated here at JPTC is Dan who brings us this update from the world of LEGO: "While at my local Toys R Us (who, by-the-bye, has a HUGE JP3 banner over a section of JP3 toys), while looking for a LEGO Bionicle, I passed some Dinosaur baby toys! I saw: -Baby Dimetrodon (adult can be made from Mososaurus) -Baby Brachiosaurus (adult is a separate set) -Baby Anklyosaurus (adult not yet a LEGO set) Unfortunately, it was closing time and the "friendly" workers were rushing me out. But on their site, you can find out more on all of them, including one I didn't see: the Baby Iguanadon (the adult can be made with the T-Rex I think). Also, all are for sale and available except for the T-Rex (will ship by July 17)."

While visiting my local Wal-Mart this weekend I noticed an in-store commercial for the "Roar for More" campaign. In the commercial it showed people going up to a Wal-Mart employee and givivng them their best "dino roar" and then recieving various prizes. Don't get too excited about the prizes because from what I could tell they looked like JP/// bullhorns, which is what the contestants where using for their "dino roar". But they were free so I guess you can't complain too much! The "Roar for More" campaign takes place on July 21st.

A big thanks to "Spinosaurus" who wanted to let everyone know that he spotted an advertisement in his local K-Mart sales paper for a sale on the JP/// toys. Here's what he had to say: "Starting on July 14 and lasting until July 21, the regular Re-Ak A-Tak dinos will be $8.00 and you can get two humans for $9.00. Also if you buy $20.00 worth of JP3 merchandise you get a free Collectable Movie Poster." So go out to your local K-Mart this weekend and check it out! I just finished praising my new moderator in the last story and then he comes through for me with this interesting bit of news about a possible new line of Jurassic Park Dinosaurs. Here's what he had to say: "I have heard this rumor that about 5-6 months after JP/// dies down that they will come out with JPD 2! It was in my salepaper! It said "Jurassic Park Dinosaurs 2!?" And it had all kinds of box shapes colored black with a ? mark on them!" Again, this isn't anything official so you may want to take it with a grain of salt.

Our good friends over at the HQ took some time to review the new JP/// cards from Inkworks which were released on July 11th. Here's their review: "What is it about cards that makes them so appealing? It could be their collectable nature, appearance, trading 'em, and it's just plain fun to have a few - and it's no exception for the Inkworks Jurassic park 3 '3D Premium Trading Cards.' When we were in Universal Studios, Hollywood last week each pack of 7 cards was retailing for around $3 - $4... And we thought that was extremely high! After talking with Inkworks about the situation, we found that the packs suggested retail price is about $2. Don't get us wrong, the cards are great, but 7 cards ain't worth $4 - so don't pay that! Look for reasonably priced packs in the $2 range, or if you really want to collect them, and save money in the long run, buy a whole box of 36 packs. What are the features of the cards? Besides being very visually attractive, they include a card number, scene description, and usually a smaller picture on the backside. Some of the cards, the 'Field Guide' ones, are 3D - when you're lucky enough to score 'DinoFX Specs' (3D viewers) - these also come with each box if you decided to purchase the whole 'shabang.' The 3D effect is minimal, however; the dinosaurs 'pop' off the card, but not by far, and it doesn't seem to change the whole appearance very much either. Still, it's a nice little feature that adds to the cards as a whole. Inkworks has a guarantee that at least one complete set (#1 -72) of collector cards can be found in each sealed 36-count display box of our trading card product. This can be good for fans of the movie - but it obviously hurts the value of the cards, because if you're guaranteed to find a complete set in one box it dilutes the value considerably. Inkworks is betting that you're not going after value for these cards, but because you love Jurassic Park 3 - and these cards accurately and creatively display the motion picture in a grand way. Inkworks is a great successor to Topps for the JP3 series - buy these cards if you're a JP fan, or looking for something fun to do on a rainy day!"

So as Dan says sometimes, "You can take this with a grain of salt" I'm beginning to think more and more that this was a hoax. We haven't heard much from "Ancient Raptor" since he first posted the picture and he hasn't been able to produce a picture of the box which he says got thrown away. Here's what he had to say: "Grant: Has a gun with three poles to stand on, and has a clear flame missle with it. Wave 2 Grant does not have any dino damage at all. The compies: one is posed kinda ready to pounce, with its head turned to the right. The other is posed running with its mouth open. But they made them too big. The compies are as long as the Alan Grant action figure, and I will try to get pics soon. But the toys are a hell of alot of fun to pay with! Plus I saw the Divers spino on the back of the box. It was sweet looking! Plus I saw Paul Kirby`s weapon, its a net launcher."

My good buddy and a regular contributor to this site, Dan, took time out of his schedule to give us his thoughts on the new Ultra T-Rex. Here's his review: Spino Dino may have won the grudge match in JPIII, but we all know who the real king is!!! I just got my Ultra T-Rex today from Wal-Mart.com (excellent shipping by the way) and all I have to say is: Wow. I've seen this toy before in stores (after getting it offline of course) and played with it, but this thing is even better out of the package. MOB collectors, you don't know what you'll be missing. First off: All you JP fans out there freakin out about how small it's going to be, don't worry. It's definitely bigger than the Junior Rex from JP. I didn't have a ruler handy, but I know that the Junior Rex is about 7 inches tall, so I'd put the Ultra Rex at about 9 inches when posed like it was in package. Those who love the Real-Feel skin of the previous Rexes will just have to console themselves with the JPIII Tri-tops and Anima Spino, cause this doesn't have it. It doesn't matter much to me, though, because instead of the skin, you get poseability and really nice sculpting. I know I'll probably get mail for this, but all the wonderful big Rexes that Hasbro has put out before have been unposeable, non-freestanding pieces of plastic. Well, no more. Rexy stands quite easily, and can be posed in quite a few moods just by moving the legs. The detail is also quite amazing. The paint is really nice, even though instead of those yellow feet, we get greenish-ochre feet. Mine also has great, clear eyes. However, I've seen some Rexes with really bad eye detailing, so buy carefully. The actions are pretty nice. Of course, there's the screech when the rib cage is pressed. When you press down on the right arm (in package, that arm faces out at you), you get the attack roar. The mouth opens nice and wide, easily enabling Rexy to pick up any hapless Military Generals you might have, or even bite down on a raptor neck or two. The Anima Spino's jaw doesn't open nearly this wide. It also makes a stomping action, though many people have complained they haven't heard it. Here's the trick: After triggering the A-Tak roar, slam it (but GENTLY!!!) feet down onto a hard, flat surface to trigger the stomp. Gently banging the palm of your hand against the feet also works nice. Overall: This Rex is a true winner. True T-Rex nirvana. I know there are those that will never buy it, and hug their Bull Rexes closer when they read this, but to me, this is what Hasbro should have made in 1993. Detailed, poseable, free-standing, noisy, and able to eat your figures. To me, this is the true Ultra Tyrannosaurus Rex. 5/5.

In another JPTC exclusive (thanks to Alex Gayhart) we are now showing you these never before seen photos of what could be a JP/// poseable Carnotaurus! Here's what he had to say about it: "I went to my local comic shop and they had a JP3 Poseable Carnotaurus I don't know if it's some kind of bootleg but it was pretty cool. It bends esier than the Spino and Raptor although it's arms are curved upward and cannot go down.It is red withblack Stripes and tan spots on certain places it's a bit bigger than the others it's the size of TLW Thrasher Rex." The details are a little hard to make out but you can definitely spot the JP/// mark on the leg of the Carno. Hopefully this addition to the poseable family will be better than the previous two attempts with the Spinosaurus and Velociraptor. If you happen to spot this guy and can take a high quality picture of it, please send it our way so we can share it with tht toy world! Click on the thumbnails for a larger view. (Update- Apparently this particular Carno is available in Dinoland U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom. Some people are reporting that this may be the same Carnotaur from Disney's "Dinosaur" with a JP/// logo slapped on to make it look official. I guess you can take it for what it's worth and decide for yourself.)

Here's a short but to the point review posted by Steve over at JP Aftermath that I thought you might enjoy. He has also updated his toy section with some boxed shots of the Brachiosaur from different angles. Here's the review: "I stopped in Toys `R Us yesterday and was lucky enough to nab a Series II Brachiosaurus. I guess someone new at the store put a few out on the shelves early by accident, so I doubt you guys would be able to find one. The Brachiosaurus head and neck are made out of a soft plastic (comparable to the previous JP toys) and the body is hard plastic like most of the other JP3 figures. The Brachiosaur makes two sounds, one is the "Re-Ak" sound when you touch a button on his 'dino-damage.' The other sound is the "Attack" sound made when the Brachiosaur swipes his tail sideways after you push his front leg down. The Series II toys will be available later this summer for $10.99 at Toys `R Us and just under $10 at Wal-Mart."

My apologies go out to "mrdinosaur2000" for not being able to post this review earlier in the week but today was the first time I've been able to get caught up on some reviews. Here's what he had to say: I bought the Tapejara at Target today, so here's my review: I personally think that this is one of the few gems of JP3 figures. I so far have been disappointed with what I saw, but the Tapejara is a completely different story. The Tapejara is basically a Pteranodon with a snazzy color scheme. The differences are close to none. The only difference I see is that the Tapejara has a crest thingy and a different name. So, this review covers not only the Tapejara, but (sort of) the Pteranodon as well. I’ll start with the “Re-ak At-ak” part. It isn’t really much. When you push the crest forward, the neck moves forward with it and the mouth opens, making a scream. The wound isn’t as bad as the other dinos, there isn’t really a bunch of bones sticking out. The wound’s just a little red splotch with a little white button in the middle for the Re-ak roar. The button looks pretty weird. It looks like some bone from who knows where just sticks out. It looks awkward. Oh well. Minor flaw. Now, the sculpting. The Tapejara is done really well. The figure itself is a tad big, but that’s ok. I like the color scheme more than the Pteranodon, though the Pteranodon looks a little more original. Poseability(sp?) is great; the wings have ball sockets in addition to moving up and down (there is a downside to this, read further), and the legs are also poseable. The neck can’t look around, but that doesn’t really detract. The mouth opens and the neck lunges forward which is pretty cool. As an added bonus, these guys look good next to the original JP figures. I like that. I like how they made the wings softer plastic and the body hard plastic. The head is soft plastic too. What we all hate: the downsides. The ball socket can get pretty loose. Mine was loose when I bought it. This can be solved, however, by sticking little pieces of paper to kind of tighten it or by putting a tad bit of glue. Another problem is that the Tapejara is simply a Pteranodon with a different head, which kind of sucks. The size is also an issue. The creature’s wingspan is as big as the Young Rex (JP) is long! That’s big. Despite these problems, though, the Tapejara (or the Pteranodon) is a fine addition to your collection of Jurassic Park toys. Showing off a snazzy color scheme, great sculpting, compatibility, and awesome sounds, this (these) flying reptile(s) should fly off the shelves. I just wanted to let everyone know that I spent most of today updating the various toy section pages in an effort to make them faster loading. If you'll look, I've added a menu for each section that breaks the toys down into Dinos, Humans, Vehicles/Playsets, and Misc. This should make the pages a lot faster when you're surfing the toy archives.

A big thanks goes out to one of our forum regulars, JDTyrannosaurus for pointing this new toy our way. Apparently another version of the JP/// Spinosaurus this time a remote controlled one has popped up. TAPEJARA

It's a bird!!! It's a plane!!! It's a JP3 Ptera with a new color scheme!!! NO!!! It's...TAPEJARA!!!! (Sorry, couldn't resist ) I had seen pictures of this toy and was fully ready to hate it. And when I bought it from Toysrus.com, I was already dreaming up an excessively negative review on it, saying how it was a cheap repaint, how the colors gave me flashbacks to those POS known as JP:CE toys, and how in all my diaromas it would be the dead and broken carcass providing food for all my other dinosaurs. Then I got it in the mail, and got a suprise. This is a really nice toy. First off: I would consider this more of a resculpt than a repaint, since the top of the head, wings and feet are different. The head and body are still pretty much the same, but that's ok. I really like the new sculpts, particularly how Hasbro actually sculpted a crest on the Ptera head, instead of being cheap and gluing one on. It looks nicer. I also like the little chunks missing from the wings of the Tapejara. It gave it sort of a realistic (sort of) touch. The colors blended a lot better than I expected, with the yellows and greens coming together real nicely. Look at the wings in particular, on the bottom, there is a nice green-to-white fade, and on the tops, there appears to be some sort of metallic paint that gives it a real nice shiny look. Are there any flaws? Of course. They used the same sounds from the JP3 Ptera on this. They did the same thing with the Pack Raptor, too, but that didn't bother me as much there, because they were the same species. Since the Ptera and Tapejara weren't the same, a different sound would have been nice. Also, forget about having it stand on it's feet: They aren't sculpted that way. Finally, the Hasbro toy people managed to bless the Tapejara with loose ball joints, just like it's predecessor. Overall: I did not believe Tapejara existed. And I did not believe that I would like it. But it does. And I do. 3.8/5

PACK RAPTOR

Some of you who have read my Alpha Velociraptor review on action-figure.com may remember me calling it "the DEFINITIVE raptor toy." Well, I lied. The wonderful Pack Raptor is in almost every way superior to the Alpha Velociraptor. For starters, it can actually move its jaw. That alone kicks it up for me. Also, the neck sculpt is designed a bit better, so that it can actually look at it's human prey. Call me crazy, but I like the color scheme here. It looks funky, but I think it works. It gives it a nice predator vibe. What would have made me give this toy an automatic 5, though, would have been to have it colored like one of the blue raptors in the movie. As I said before, the sounds are the same as that of the Alpha V, which brings me to an interesting point. Both the Tapejara and Pack Raptor have noises that can be triggered by a bone button. But since that is the only bone seen in the wound, it looks a bit out of place. It would have been better to have just colored it red like the rest of it. Now, I said that the Pack Raptor was superior in almost every way to the Alpha V. But that one can stand. The Pack Raptor has too much head and too little tail, which causes it to capsize forward unless supported, or unless you pose it so that one foot is flat and the other is resting on the corner of its heel. Also, the bottom jaw mysteriously juts out past the nose of the thing. Why? Overall: A big improvement over the Alpha V. It still has some bugs, but from now on, this will be the one attracting the attentions of my lovely

Here's what he had to say: Here's why Hasbro was so excited about early sales... Toy Industry Association reveals top selling toys as of June 2001. In a bit of news that might be interesting to collectors, the Toy Industry Association (TIA- the folks behind the massive yearly event: Toy Fair) has announced the Top Selling Toys introduced in 2001 (Ranked by Dollar Sales) as of June 2001. These include (drum roll!): 1)JP3 RE-AK A-TAK ELEC. DELUX DINO ASST.- Hasbro, introduced April - $10.28 each.

With the new JP/// toys out in full force now, it seems that Wal-Mart has finally decided to start making room for them on their shelves. Various people have been reporting that you can easily find most of dinos from the JP Dinosaur series at half off the regular price. This is a great chance for those of you out there in the diorama making business to pick up some duplicates for that herd scene that you've been working on.

Thanks to everyone who pointed this review my way. This site deals mainly with just toy related news but as I've said before I know there are many of you interested in these games and since the games and toys are so closely related, we'll continue to bring you both. Now on to the review. pocket.ign has posted their review of the new Park Builder game which they say has some faults. Here's some of what they had to say: "Konami's Jurassic Park 3: Park Builder is far from an original concept. In fact, it's been done before on the PC as Dino Park Tycoon. Konami's take on the idea isn't a direct port of that PC game, but it's a close rendition in pocket form, and it would have been a great game if the development team didn't assume that gamers would know what to do right out of the gate. Park Builder has some highs as well lows, but it's mostly good...if you can get through the necessary, but seriously annoying, trial-and-error phase." You can read the full

O.K. I apologize for not updating the site with this earlier but being in the military right now doesn't afford one much time. Plus there has been absolutely nothing to report lately. But here it goes anyway, our good friend raptor1982 over at Jurassic Park Toys was able to get his hands on a nice little picture of what looks like the JP Bush Tracker modified to be the new JP/// All-Terrain vehicle. He found it in a French Hasbro catalogue. Here's the description straight from the catalogue: This all-terrain vehicle is perfect to hunt dinosaurs! It is electronic and has a light and sounds to attract the dinosaurs. It's equipted with a capturenet that gets activated by the front of the vehicle. An arm at the side makes it possible to maintain captured dinosaurs. One dinosaur and figure included. You can view the picture here.

Finally Universal has decided to give us some details on the new JP/// DVD set to be released on December 11th. Being the huge DVD fan that I am, I can't tell you how excited I am that this disc is only about 2 months away and it looks like Universal has put together a great package for us fans. Here's the details from the Digital Bits: The Jurassic Park III: Collector's Edition will carry an SRP of $26.95. You'll get the expected anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 audio options, along with a plethora of extras. Included will be an audio commentary with director Joe Johnston, The Making of Jurassic Park III production featurette shot on set, additional featurettes on the special effects (including The New Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park III, A Guided Tour of Stan Winston's Studio and A Visit to ILM), a Dinosaur Turntable (providing a 3D look at the creatures themselves), a production photo gallery, storyboard sequences, the Jurassic Park III Archives, theatrical trailers and more. As is par for the course with Universal these days, there will be multiple versions of the title released the same day. You'll be able to buy the film in full frame if that's what you prefer, or you can buy a box set of all three films, entitled The Jurassic Park Trilogy, for $76.95. This new box set will reportedly contain a bonus disc of previously unreleased material, The Jurassic Park Franchise. And if you already own the movies on DVD, you can get the new disc without buying the box set. Have you wondered recently about those Hasbro two packs listed on Amazon.com's website? Well our good friend Dan J. decided to do a little investigating on his own. Here's his e-mail to Hasbro and then their respnose: Hello Hasbro Consumer Affairs Associate, While on Amazon.com I found three listings for dinosaur sets that include 2 dinosaurs per set: Spinosaurus/Pteranadon, T-Rex/Dilophosaurus, Raptor/Triceratops. Are these continuations of the Jurassic Park 3 line? Will they be repaints, or all new figures? Also, will there be any more Jurassic Park 3 humans/dinos/playsets, and if so, what will they be? Dan J. comes through for us again! Here's an e-mail he sent my way in which he asked Hasbro about any current plans they have for the fall releases of their JP/// toys. Also, check after this reply for information on Hasbro's new toy site. Well, after I got three form letters back from Hasbro trying to shoo me off, I got a little fed up. My letter and response is below: Hello Hasbro Consumer Affairs Associate, Thank you for your prompt last letter. However, I would still like to know what I asked. I have tried your website numerous times, and gotten nothing. The Jurassic Park 3 website is not up yet, to my knowledge. I was told in a letter that I could check back in the fall for more information on what you are releasing (I was told that you have over 25 of my letters on file, so you probably have that one). It's a pretty safe bet that you have releases finalized, since the big holiday shopping season is coming up and you want to have product availible to consumers. And I know that other lines, such as your Star Wars: POTJ line, have already been announced and release dates through Febuary 2002 have been finalized and made public in various magazines. All I am asking is what products you have planned or are releasing for Jurassic Park 3 through January/Febuary 2002. Specifically, I would like to know if you have any plans of releasing a Udesky, Nash, Cooper, or Ben figure, or if you are making playsets based on the Aviary or a Kirby Charter Plane Playset, because the Raptor Attack Playset was a miserable repaint, and I won't buy it, cause I could just dig the old pieces from my old JP Visitor's Center Playset and make that up for free. I just want to know what you are releasing from now through January/Febuary 2002 for the Jurassic Park 3 line. Huh...Well, I now think that the only way to see any of these figures might be through a petition. I dunno...are other people the way I am about this? (I would really like a Udesky and Nash figure, and a Kirby Plane). If I only knew how to put one together... Well, thought you might like to know. Have a great day!!! Very interesting to say the least. In other news, Dan also passed along that the Hasbro rep's told him that they hope to have their highly anticipated toy site up by the end of this month! Wow, I really didn't expect to see a review this soon but hey, I'm not complaining! Peter Bracke from DVDfile.com (one of my favorite DVD sites on the web) sat down and gave us our first review of the JP/// DVD which hits shelves on December 11th. From the review you could tell that this guy doesn't know his dinos to well (he spells Pteranodon, Pteredon) so I figured that the review might no be that great. To my suprise he gave JP/// some great marks including a 4 out of 5 rating for the audio and video. Here's some of what he had to say: "Quite a jam-packed DVD in terms of soundtrack options and supplements, the quality of this 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer is still surprisingly high despite all the content that had to be squeezed onto one dual-layer disc. Jurassic Park III has a visual look somewhere between the brighter hues of the first film and very dark first sequel, and this transfer renders it very well." Boasting both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround tracks on the same disc, as you would expect, this mix ain't no walk in the park. This is one aggressive, noisy and hectic mix that is all about dino-mite! Everything you'd expect from a Jurassic Park mix is here - excellent dynamics and fidelity, with an attention to detail that is impressive. Front soundstage separation is super with dialogue firmly anchored in the center channel, and surround use is aggressive in the big action scenes. The score is also nicely spread out among the fronts, though I would have liked a bit more surround presence." His main problem seemed to be with the way that the extra features were put together and I tend to agree with him. Most of the special features are broken up into 3-9 minute pieces instead of having one big documentary (like the first two discs). That aside it sounds like an awesome disc and I can't wait until December 11th to finally get it! He also took some time to review the bouns fourth disc, "Beyond Jurassic Park" which is broken down into 3 different sections (JP, TLW, JP///) and sounds great. According to the Jurassic Park Institute, it looks like paleontologist Dr. Jack Horner may have recovered the largest T-Rex ever discovered! Here's a little blurb from the article: "Located in Montana's badlands near Bozeman, Horner describes the discovery area as being one of the richest fossil sites ever found. Digging in sediments 68 million years old, his team has recovered five T. rex specimens, several duck-billed dinosaurs, 50 Triceratops and a variety of other prehistoric materials that include crocodiles, turtles, and leaf deposits. Such plentiful and diverse discoveries will help Horner and his team to better understand the ecosystem that existed in this area 68 million years ago, which was just three million years before the dinosaurs vanished." If you haven't checked the toy site "Entertainment Earth" recently then you probably haven't noticed that they have what apprently looks like a second series of JP/// toys up for pre-order. While the details are pretty sketchy right now, they did provide a list of what's included in each assortment: The "Ravage Dino 2-pack assormtent #1" ($60.99) includes the following: 4x Lava T-Rex and Velociraptor, 2x Arctic Spinosaurus and Stegosaurus, 3x Swamp Spinosaurus and T-Rex, and 3x Desert Spinosaurus and Velociraptor. The "JP3 Deluxe Biting Dino Assortment #4" ($77.99) will include: 2x Jungle Spinosaurus, 1x Night Raptor, and 3x Arctic T-Rex. Also available for pre-order is an Re-Ak A-tak Canyon T-Rex ($26.99). Everything they have listed shows a release date of February 2002 but they are quick to remind everyone that that date is subject to change. We reported on a story earlier this week from Steve over at JP Memorabilia which looks like may not be true afterall. Steve contacted Stan Winston Studios as wells as Universal and here's what they had to say: "Well it looks like I've been given "Bogus" information regarding the the future release of Stan Winston Dinosaur heads/busts, I have not received an e-mail from anyone confirming the story, nor have I received an update e-mail from my source GREG , I have contacted both Stan Winston Studios & Universal studios and today I received a reply from Universal who tell me the following, "The only Dinosaurs to be reproduced from the Stan Winston moulds have been used for Universal Studios theme parks, Jurassic park traveling exhibitions, selected Museums across the World. There are no plans to release any re-productions commercially now or in the future". Thanks to Steve for checking that out!

I'm probably a little late with this but I was gone all weekend so here goes. Last week we reported that Premiere Props had started their ebay auction with some very cool items from the movie. Well since then they've updated their collection to include some pretty cool things like the dinosaur incubator that the gang found in the InGen lab and you can even bid on Dr. Alan Grant's sunglasses! If you read Monday's update then you know that we had some major problems with our forums early on Monday morning. I think the problem had to do with ProBoards having some kind of server upgrade (thanks for the warning) and at the same time I was trying to add a new forum all the messages went bye-bye. Oh well, the members at JPTC are the strongest out there and they've picked the board right up and put it back on it's feet (thanks guys)! Hopefully this is the last time we'll have to deal with something like this. Speaking of the new forum, that new one we added was a Paleo Art forum. So now all you artist out there can share your dino artwork. I know I've said this several times but one more won't hurt! If you haven't signed up with us yet... then what are you waiting for? Registration is very fast and simple and you can be posting with us in no time. No, not those kind of busts While surfing around I noticed that Steve over at JP memorabilia received an interesting rumor from someone regarding the sale of JP dino busts staright from the movie molds. Here's part of the email: "Just received an interesting e-mail from Greg, He tells me that the "Stan Winston Studio", combined with "Universal studios", will be making available 1:1 scale kits of selected Dinosaur busts straight from the original movie moulds. The kits will be on sale in the new year, if anyone knows anymore about this please let me know." Thanks to our forum member "Bambiraptor" for sharing these pictures of the newly re-packaged JP/// bonus packs. They're not new toys or anything like that but it looks like an attempt on Hasbro's part to sell some more dino toys! According to Bambiraptor they are selling for about $13 which is about $4-$6 cheaper when you buy the bonus pack versus buying them individually. Here's some more of what he had to say: "Anyway, at K-Mart, there were TWO AISLES filled with JP toys! They had the Poseable Spino, Poseable Raptor, all the Deluxe Re-ak A-taks, the vehicles and playsets, both Utra Re-ak A-tak Dinos, all the humans, the Anima Spino, EVERYTHING! Plus, there were two-packs! I had never seen any of those before. Anyway, there was one with the Brachio and Trike, one with the Tape and the Pack Raptor, and there were probably more that I didn't see. Anyway, the humans were $3.99 and the Ultra Re-ak A-taks were $19.99. I'm not sure how much the two-packs were. Anyway, I bought the Military Diver, the Ultra Alpha Pteranodon and the Tapejara and Pack Raptor two-pack." How many of you out there have an awesome set-up or display of your JP toy collection? Well, if you visit this site on a regular basis then chances are you probably fall into that category. The reason I ask is because JPTC wants to see those great collections and so does everyone else! Maybe, at least according to Darth Maul over at InGenOps: "Missing a few figures or dinos from the JP3 line? Your local Wal*Mart will help. Currently, figures in most Wal*Marts are going for $3.00. That's half price. Ultra Re-Ak-A-Tak Dinos (Rex, and Anima Spino) are going for 15 dollars a piece. Vehicles, like the Chopper and the ATDT, are at 10 Dollars. These bargains aren't going to last, so this is the perfect chance for anyone to get their collections up to speed." I checked out a few Wal-Marts over the weekend and I couldn't find any sales! Maybe they're just getting this sale going and it has yet to spread to my local area. We shall see and please feel free to let us know if you spot any great JP3 bargains!

This morning when I rolled out of bed, I was pleasantly suprised to see that proboards has finally made that server upgrade that they've been promosing for a while now and along with it comes some great new features! We now have the ability to put a "sticky thread" at the top of a board if we like for major announcements and for the members, you now have the ability to create your own poll thread. There are several other little upgrades that you'll probably notice as you make your way around the boards today but those were the major ones. Not all is well though, it seems as if the people over at proboards still have a few bugs to work out before everything is back to normal. For one, the headers & footers on my boards (and others) seem to be duplicating the codes and the latest news won't fade in & out like it should. Also, you may notice that the regular address (dinodan.proboards.com) is not redirecting you to the forums, instead it takes you to the proboards.com home page. Maybe they'll have these items fixed sometime soon but in the meantime you can get to the boards by clicking here or by adding a 2 to the address: dinodan.proboards2.com.

With all the wacky stuff going on lately with Proboards, one thing that's important to remember (until they fix it) is to make sure that you use dinodan.proboards2.com as the url for the forum. How was everyone's weekend? I hope it went well. First up today, we wanted to let everyone know that Hasbro has added a couple of new CamoXtreme descriptions to their site. The new ones include the Tropical Raptor and the Volcanic Pteranodon. Here's a description for each, first the Raptor and then the Pteranodon: "Paradise is lost when the Tropical Raptor comes on the scene. There is no use running from this dangerous predator with its dino roar and powerful slashing action." "Flying amongst the destruction of the volcano, the Volcanic Pteradon searches for any dino willing to put up a fight. No dino can evade the swooping Volcanic Pteradon with its heart stopping dino roar and unforgiving biting action." They both show a retail price of $9.99 but the question is, where in the heck did the rest of those pics go to? We'll keep you up to date as more info. becomes available...stay tuned!

Before we get to the new poll question, lets go over the results from the last one...shall we? Our last poll posed the question, "Which CamoXtreme 2-pack are you most looking forward to?" We had exactly 100 votes and with %35 of the vote (the majority) most everyone is looking forward to all of them! Out of the packs listed, the Tropical Pteranodon/Compies 2-pack was the most anticipated with %25 of the final vote. Now on to the latest poll which I think will be interesting to see the results of. I got the idea from our message boards where one of our forum members "Ultra_T-Rex" asked the question, what do you think is the most movie accurate dinosaur? Well, I've taken some of the most popular responses to that thread and put them in a voting format. So which JP toy do you think is the most accurate to the movies? Go vote and let your opinions be heard!

First up today, I have to mention my latest find. Now this may not be at everyone's local Wal-Mart yet so don't shoot the messanger! This weekend while at my local Wal-Mart, I checked out the JP3 isle (as I always do) and to my surprise, everything was on sale! But we're not talking a small sale here...we're talking about a major sale! Most everything was at least half off except for the Re-Ak Dinos. Here's a list of what they had and the sale prices: Re-Ak basics (Grant/Raptor) - $1.50, Re-Ak Dinos - $7.00, AT Dino Trapper - $5.00, Marine Copter - $5.00, Tracking Set - $5.00, Hatchlings - $2.50, Walking Raptor - $5.00, Animatronic Spino - $25.00, Board Game - $5.00 and the Dino Dex - $7.00. I'm guessing you get the point...this is an awesome sale! If your local Wal-Mart doesn't have these prices just yet, keep checking back because I have a feeling this is not just a local sale. Wow...is this a shocker or what?! Thanks to our latest forum member "tetra-rex-flatop" for pointing out that the toy website Entertainmentearth.com has the CamoXtreme 2-packs in "hot off the truck". This is a little quicker than I expected them to be spotted but apparently JPTC forum member "Carcharodontosaurus" has spotted some of the new CamoXtreme 2-packs at his local Shopko. Here's what he had to say: "I just got back from my local Shopko, I went to the toys section and the JP3 was moved to the back, and there were 3 Poseable Raptors, and 5 Alan Grant w/Raptors.....And on the bottom rack there were 3 Desert packs, 1 Lava pack ,and 2 Artic packs.....I got 1 of each and left......I has so shocked to find them.....there here you just have to check out your stores.....The cards in the packs are just 1 thin cardboard piece with a picture of the hatchlings, and on the back there is a disriction of the items in english spanish and some other language..... **Lava Card Info." "In the wake of a massive volcanic eruptions. these red-hot dinos evolved with flame colored camofladge to rule their lava covered domain." **Desert Card Info." A couple of site updates: I updated the JP review section today with a new review from Tyrannosaurus Rex of the JP Jungle Explorer (which is an awesome review!) and I'm almost ready to open up that collectors card section so be on the look-out for that very soon...stay tuned!

First off, I have to thank my good friend Stephen (JPDino) for helping me get this new section up as quickly as I have. He provided most of the pictures and helped me finish way ahead of schedule...thanks bud! OK, I'm sure by now that most of you have seen/heard of the JP collector cards so this is nothing new but it was a section I thought we needed here at JPTC. It was really fun looking back at some of these old cards, some of which I hadn't seen in a very long time. Most of the artwork on them was just plain amazing! Very rich colors mixed with awesome dino action...they sure don't make 'em like they use to! Anyway, be sure to head on over there and check that out whenever you get a chance, I think you'll find it well worth your time. BTW, if you happen to have any of the cards I'm missing, except for the Die Cast (I should have the rest of those up by Monday) please send them to me and I'll make sure you get full credit for whatever you send in. Our man in the know overseas, AgentSmith, gets us the scoop on some JP3 keychains and also brings with him a UK Ebay report: "Recently, JP3 keychains, manufactured by Tiger, have been found on sale at Poundland stores. This is, so far, the only place they have been seen in this side of the Atlantic. Presumably, they're only £1, but how long they will be around for is unknown." Thanks to AgentSmith for that update, it's always interesting to see what's happening overseas! In site news, Ben submitted a very in-depth review of the JP3 Alpha Pteranodon over the weekend which can be viewed here. Hey, you guys looking for a good laugh? Well, if so then you have to check out this latest batch of what appears to be JP3 bootlegs up for bid on eBay. They're at the bottom of the page right now under the heading "JURASSIC PARK III DINOSAUR." It's truly amazing to see what people will do for a buck these days ;-). Thanks to those out there that have submitted your links to us over the last few weeks. I was finally able to get those up today. We're sorry it took so long to get them up but as you can see, we've been quite busy around here lately Speaking of that, I've received numerous emails and questions on our forums lately wanting to know just when will our new sections be up? Well, I can't give you a definte answer on that except to tell you that we hope to have them up in the not too distant future. Everything takes time and this is a huge undertaking we have planned here. Some of us have jobs & families that must come first, so all we ask for is your patience...thanks!

BTW, I had an opportunity to see Star Wars Episode II this past Thursday and I must say that I really enjoyed it! It ranks right behind A New Hope & The Empire Strikes Back IMHO. So make sure to check it out if you haven't already, I don't think you'll be dissapointed!

These were spotted in a recent eBAY auction. Chalk up 5 more for Mexico! Unlike the other ones, these dinosaurs are actually mentioned on the back of the cards.

Thanks to forum member "Jurassic Joe", here's your first chance to see an up close look of those JP3 miniature Re-ak A-tak bootlegs that were spotted on ebay not too long ago:

Something interesting to note here is that Joe found them in a retail store. According to him, they came in little plastic bags and the description on the back read: "Terrifying dinosaurs hunt people named Alan Brant, Bobby Breenan, and Erin Kirly! Collect them all!" He also went on to say they had a Spino, T-Rex and a Dilo but the quality wasn't as great on them. It definitely looks like someone is trying to make a cheap buck but the quailty on these two guys isn't half bad...I'd buy 'em!

That's right kiddies! Papo is starting 2008 off with a bang by adding an Allosaurus as the latest addition to their extremely popular line. The Dinosaur Toy Blog already has a detailed review up complete with a picture. While it's not JP inspired like the rest of the Papo's to this point, it's still a welcome addition to the line. No word on an exact release date or price just yet so stay tuned for further updates. In other news, we have a new poll up for your voting pleasure. A big thanks to forum Legend 'Raptorbite' for the suggestion.

Forum moderator 'Triceratops123' came across an interesting LEGO bootleg recently that is based on the JP Raptor Pit. You can view the picture by clicking here. More pics can be found on our forum. Along those same lines, we have a new custom addition from 'Eddi' that features his take on that same Raptor Pit from the first film.

Well there's good news and bad news. The good news is that JP won the poll in a landslide. The bad news is that JP was not announced at this years Comic-Con. Apparently Sideshow announced a Conan The Barbarian line. Don't be discouraged though because these poll results can't do anything but help JP in the future with regards to Sideshow.

In other news, an interesting collection thread popped up on our forum over the weekend that shows what appears to be the unreleased CE Ultimasaurus (along with a few other unreleased items). We haven't heard back from this member since the posting so there's no way to verify its authenticity just yet. In the meantime, you can check it out on our forum and decide for yourself. We will of course pass along any updates on this if/when they become available so please stay tuned.

Remember that uber rare Ultimasaurus that showed up on ebay (see April 5th update) and caused so much fuss recently? It ended at the time with no apparent winner and no chance at us learning more about it. Well forum moderator 'Raptoralpha' and member 'Andrewsaurus' recently inquired about its fate and received the following from the seller:

"That figure was already sold a few months ago. My son had intended to re-list it on eBay, but we got an offer from a private collector for $5,000 and he just couldn't turn it down. And I'm sorry, but I can't provide you with more pictures of the dinosaur, as part of the deal the buyer asked that I didn't. "

So there you have it. Will we ever get to the bottom of this mystery? Doesn't seem like it at this point. But then again, stranger things have happened so you never know. To the collector who purchased it, we would be thrilled (to say the least) if you would like to contact us here at JPtoys and shed some light on this very rare gem.

We've seen JP Dino Dogs & Nuggets so far so why not JP LunchAsaurus? Semms like the next logical step...right? Well forum member 'Spinosaur122' came across these (well actually his girlfriend did...heh) at a local Wal-Mart for about $2 a piece. You can choose from Jurassic (Ham & American), Raptor (Nachos) and T-Rex (Turkey & American). Each package back contains word games as well as fun dino facts (Spino, Raptor and T-Rex). That not enough for ya? Well each LunchAsaurus also includes this water pack pack to wash things down with. That's a good call based on the taste of the dogs & nuggets.

Brighter Minds media has a new interactive JP Explorer DVD game out featuring the same logo we've seen recently on the JP dino dogs & chicken nuggets. Could this be a sign of more things to come or simply a coincidence? Either way, it's nice to see the JP franchise still churning out merchadise regardless of the now seemingly dormat state of JP4. (Thanks yankeetrex)

Over a month ago we posted a story (see 3/6 update) regarding the interesting find of some "official" JP chicken (I think?) nuggets. Well you can now add even more mystery meat to your JP menu as several people have emailed/posted with spottings of JP hot dogs made with turkey, pork & chicken (no raptor?). Forum member 'jurassicjunior' was even kind enough to snap a pic. I'm afraid to see what might be lurking around the corner with this product line but as always, please let us know if you spot anything.

For years we've wondered if Todd McFarlane (Aliens, Sportspicks, Dragons) had any interest in producing a JP themed line or perhaps a generic dino line in general. Well both of those questions were posed to Todd on his "Toddcast". The first by our very own 'Thorondor 33'. Here's what he had to say:

- I heard rumours of a Monsters of Universal series. If this is true, what are the chances of seeing Jurassic Park figures? Thanks!

"Rumors from who, Joe? I don't even trust that guy. As for Jurassic Park figures, Hasbro has the master license locked down, but we're looking into different angles on this one."

- Would you ever consider making a dinosuar line? After seeing the brilliant work achieved on the dragons I would love to see a dinosaur line done in the same scale etc. I know there's alot of fellow boardies who like the idea of a dinosaur line too.

"My son Jake loves dinosaurs so I've got that idea being suggested several times each week in my own house! I have tried to incorporate some of the dinosaur traits and looks in our Dragons line."

So there's the scoop from THE man himself as only JPtoys.com can bring you. We still don't have anything concrete but it's nice to hear that they (McFarlane) are exploring "other angles". (UPDATE 3/22) - In the days since this posting, many JPT forum members have chimed in with some background info. on where exactly these customs came from and who exactly created them. Apparently the T-Rex model was created by Mike Wallace (doesn't he work for 60 minutes?) and the Raptor creator is unknown. Both were shown at a 2005 convention in Kentucky known as 'Wonderfest". Forum regular giganotoigauana was kind enough to post a few scans that cover Mr. Wallace's piece as well as a Raptor model from Jim Lawrence. It's a very interesting read and can be found by clicking on following thread on our forum.

No, not the news kind. Yes, real eatable chicken nuggets straight from the park...err...freezer section of Wal-Mart. Forum moderator Kevin came across these delectable dino delights and was kind enough to snap a couple of pics for us. You can view them here and here. Now, is anybody ready to take one for the team and actually taste these genetically altered/processed chicken nuggets? Or is it chicken? We'll let you be the judge. Be sure to drop us a line if you come across any and let us know how they taste.

It's been quite a while since we've had a trifecta update (Dios, Collections & Poll) but here we go. The new entry to the collections section comes to us from Chris. And finally we have a long overdue new poll question. A big thanks goes out to the record over 1,000 voters in our previous poll (1,079 to be exact) that crowned the Papo line as your favorite non-JP line with 32% of the final tally. Dino Valley came in a fairly close 2nd place with 26%. Thanks again to all those that participated!

Our resident Papo dino aficionado 'Piltdown Chickenraptors' recently alerted everyone to the news that Papo would soon be adding another prehistoric favorite to their line - a Spinosaurus. Well today we got our first glimpse of the new addition via the new Papo catalog. As always the attention to detail that Papo provides in their dino line never ceases to amaze me. The new Spino is expected to be available for purchase in May.

We've certainly had our fair share of JP merchandise liscense updates over the last year or so, almost all confusing to say the least. Well forum member 'crex' (who also happens to be Chris - see 10/2 story below) recently had one of his staffers inquire directly to the Star Wars team at Hasbro to get some sort of definitive answer on just what is really going on. Here's what he had to say:

"Since the summer the Star Wars team @ Hasbro has been allowing the SW Collecting sites to submit 3 questions each week. So after a few weeks of doing this, I decided to see if they would bite on a JP question. Turns out they still have the license and do plan on future releases BUT they are repaint exclusives to KB. Now obviously, the findings at KB months ago support that.

If the license ran out, someone would pick it up and announce it. And the exclusive thing has been following Hasbros MO lately with the repaints. There has been plenty of repaints with Star Wars and thats a license thats a year removed from a movie year, 6 months before the 30th anniversary build up and the upcoming TV shows. A license like JP wouldnt make fiscal sense to invest money for new product when no significant news is out there in terms of movie announcements and they can still get some return from JP with small scale repaints."

A big thanks to Chris again for that update. So in short, we can expect more repaints down the road until JP4 rolls around. I'm sure that's what most expected anyway but hopefully this report can serve to clear matters up just a bit. Also worth noting today is a set of JP3 prototypes that recently surfaced on ebay and were purchased by forum moderator Raptoralpha. He was kind enough to take several new pics along with descriptions which can all be found in this thread on our forum.

It was recently brought to my attention that we somehow overlooked updating the JP Dinosaurs section with last years 3rd wave/series. Well I'm glad to say that it is now updated for your viewing pleasure. Better late than never...right?

Also today, I wanted to jump off the beaten path for a minute to address a very serious problem that effects many people all over the world - diabetes. One of our forum members Chris has a 6 year old son Christopher that is a rabid Dinosaur fan, JP toy collector and a regular visitor here at JPToys.com. However, that may be where his simalarities with most of you end. Christopher has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes since he was 4 years old. He must have his glucose levels checked and managed several times daily through an insulin pump (yet some kids still require multiple injections of insulin). As you could imagine not only is this quite the chore for the parents but just think of the afflicted in this case. Christopher seemingly takes it all in stride and seems to have adjusted to his affliction quite well according to his Dad but you know it has to be tough on him.

This is why Chris is dedicated to help find a cure for this disease and would like your help. Christopher will be participating in his 3rd "Walk To Cure Diabetes" on October 15th in Pennsauken, NJ. If you can't make the walk, you may make a donation on behalf of Christopher at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Also, be sure to check out Christopher's website (run by his Dad) for all the latest news and any other FAQ you may have about diabetes. It's not often that we get a chance to participate in something larger than ourselves so make sure to check out those links and help out if you can. Every little bit helps!

Here's a cool bootleg find from forum member 'Imperial Drannian' that features a King Kong packaged with a JP3 Spino hatchiling. Here's what she had to say:

"While we were down in the Highlands (Australia) we ducked into a 'cheapie shop' and, right next to the bootlegs of DV we saw were some really laughable bootlegs of Kong. A five second examination of the packets revealed that they in fact also conained bootlegged TLW/JP3 hatchlings. The one pictured has a Spino. I recall seeing a Rex & Raptor, will make an endeavour to pick one up next time I'm down there if they are dirt-cheap enough for me."

If you remember way back to February of 2003 we had our first ebay sighting of the unreleased JPS2 Scutosaurus & Ornithosuchus. Well it appears that Scutosaurus at least has popped up online again but this time on the Chinese site Taobao (think ebay). It's very interesting to see these rare items showing up from time to time on ebay and various other sites such as this. It really makes you wonder just what other JP gems are out there waiting to be discovered. A big thanks to forum member 'Piltdown Chickenraptors' for the heads up.

In the continuing saga of "just who has the JP merchandise liscense" comes this latest entry from forum member 'Raptorbite' who apparently contacted Hasbro on his own and was rewarded with the following:

"I just got off the phone with hasbro and to my suprise I found out that they are no longer holding the Jurassic park license but it has instead been sold to a different company for production of a "yet to be named" new JP line. That will possibly be realesed by christmas. The JP dinosaurs series 3 line was in fact the last line that we will ever see from hasbro so says "Devon, The guy I spoke with." He said there is bigger and better things in store for JP. When I asked about JP4 toys being produced by hasbro, He said that all the JP4 information is "Non-Disclosed for the time being." Before I had the chance to hang up He asked if I was a JP fan of sorts and of coarse I replied with a Exuberient YES! He said I will be satisfied before the years end."

At this point we've heard so many varying reports that it's hard to keep things straight anymore so as always, please take this with a grain of salt until we can get further verification. However, if this turns out to be true it looks like an exciting time for JP collectors in the next 6 months or so.

Nothing earth shattering to pass along here but probably woth mentioning nonetheless. It seems that last year's new line of JP Dinosaurs are starting to pop up at KB Toy stores again. It looks like a last ditch effort on their part to clear out some back inventory as most everything has been heavily reduced. Just last weekend I had family from Florida call to ask me if I needed any because their local KB Outlet was stocked to the max with of course the discounted prices. Site Co-Owner Armothe just recently found them as well. Here's his report:

"I know its halfway into 2006 but the most recent 2005 JP Deluxe Dinos started popping up at KBToys and KB Toy Works/Outlets.

It was bound to happen. The Chap Mei company has been producing dinosaur toys strongly inspired by Jurassic Park toys for some time now. Well, it appears that they acquired the license to produce official JP toys. This picture was sent by someone claiming to be a Chap Mei designer (more than likely an early prototype). Here's what he had to say concerning the matter, including some interesting news about upcoming toys.

"Hello, I'm a concept designer working for the Chap Mei company, and I've been working on several series including Dino Quest, Beast Raider and the soon-to-be-released Wild Park series. I'm writing you to give Jurassic Park fans some good news for the toyline. An announcement from the Hasbro company will soon be made about their loss of the Jurassic Park license, but by the end of the year, a new Jurassic Park line will be released in the European market, and in the US market later, by the Chap Mei company. We are currently working on the look of the line, but here's the concept art that will likely be chosen. The line-up has also been approved, and will likely be similar to this:

Basic assortment:

- Tyrannosaurus Rex
- Dimetrodon
- Pteradon
- Raptor Alpha
- Triceratops

Ultra assortment:

- Ultra T-Rex w/ Alan Grant
- Spinosaurus w/ Tim Murphy

Of course, some changes might occur, but that is everything planned so far. In other news today, we have new dioramas up from 'Evilrex' (now Evilstudios) and a new gallery from 'The Big Wil'.

That's right boys and girls, our friends from the Papo company are back at it again with another assortment of your favorite realistic pre-historic dinos! This 2nd wave features a Pachycephalosaurus, Stegosaurus and a Pteranodon. According to the folks at 'Toying Around' these should be available in the next couple months. In other news around the site, we have a new collection gallery from Bull T-Rex for you as well as a new poll question. Boy it sure is getting difficult to peice together any news updates these days with the lack of any substantial JP4 news seemingly years away. Our new poll question follows along those lines. Thanks to member TrikeAttack for letting us know that Sam Neil (Alan Grant) appeared on "The New Zealend Listener. Neil offered us some juicy tidbits about the status of Jurassic Park 4, which seem to prove once and for all this this movie is going to happen. Here's the transcript:

Q: The role you're most internationally recognised for is probably Alan Grant from Jurassic Park. Any truth to the reports there will be yet another sequel? Are you involved?

SN: Oh, well I could...Actually, I'm...(laughs). I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say in regard to this. Yes, another Jurassic Park is in the developmental stages at the moment. I think I can say that without being arrested, or eaten by one of those scary dinosaurs (laughs). As for my involvement, it's a possibility. I certainly had a ripper of a time doing the previous two, so I have no objection in that respect. Steven (Spielberg) has spoken with me briefly about the new story they are working on, which is remarkably inventive and intriguing, by the way.

Q: Any plot teasers you would care to share with New Zealand first?

SN: (laughs heartily) You really DO want to get me arrested, don't you? No, I'm very sorry, no juicy secrets from me. Steven has indicated I may have some part in the film, but I'll leave it at that. From what I know, it's pretty early goings. As always, I'll wait for the finished script, and just see how my schedule shapes up.

Due to the overall lack of Jurassic Park related news in the past few months, JP Toys is going to begin to announce the latest paleontological findings. And there is no time like the present to start, because of a very exciting discovery in Montana. Paleontologists have uncovered a "mummy" Brachylophosaurus, a type of hadrosaur. The skeleton is called a mummy because it has 90% of its soft tissue preserved, IE skin, muscles, organs etc. This specimin, nicknamed Leonardo, gives us a much more complete look at hadrosaur dinosaurs then we've ever had before. It appears that Leonardo has buldging shoulder muscles, a thick neck, ridges down the spine and a taste for ferns, magnolias and conifers. It's a rare oppurtunity to get such an extensive look at a prehistoric animal's form and lifestyle, and Leonardo will prove to revolutionize our view of dinosaurs.

It seems that Malcolm of JP Database managed to get a short interview with Jack Horner, the well known paleontologist who acted as a consultant on all three Jurassic Park movies. Personally, I think that Horner's career has gone downhill ever since his involvement with the films, but I guess a news reporter isn't allowed to give his opinion. At any rate, here's the scoop:

Q: How much of a difference was it working with Joe Johnston in JP3, than Steven Spielberg in the other films?

A: I like both of the directors a lot. But Joe Johnston is very interested in paleontology and has come out to the field every summer for the last three years. So he and I have become very good friends. Steven, is a good guy, but I don't know him personally as well as Joe.

Q: What species are the 'compys' in The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 based off? Do you think it was really possible for the compys to have been pack hunters?

A:Compsognathus, and no, I don't think its likely they were pack-hunters.

Q: Were there any dinosaur characteristics that you did not like or had a problem with in the JP trilogy but were still used because Spielberg/Johnston wanted them?

A: T-rex runs too fast, and none of the dinos are colorful enough.

Q: In the making of JP you seemed rather upset with the idea of the raptor sticking out their tongues like snakes because it portrayed them more like reptiles than birds...were you as upset with the Dilophosaurus having a neck frill like an existing reptile today?

A: No, there is no evidence suggesting that it didn't have a frill. That is fictional license, but we know that dinosaurs didn't have forked tongues.

Q: How long have you believed that Tyrannosaurus was a scavenger? Did you ever try to influence them to show any of the dinosaurs scavenging in Jurassic Park and/or The Lost World?

A: For about 10 years. Yes, and T-rex is portrayed as a scavenger in JP3.

It sounds like Jack wasn't all that thrilled about this interview. Perhaps its because few people take him seriously anymore after his involvement with the films.

The determined Mr. Goodbytes has managed to dig up some scraps of information regarding hasbro's future involvement with the Jurassic Park franchise and Universal's thoughts on the original film's 10th anniversary next year. Here's the scoop:

#1: Will there be another JP line in the near future?

Right now we have Jurassic Park Institute which is an educational website that teaches about dinosaurs. See www.jpinstitute.com or contact Megan Norlin for JPI information.
(She didn't quite understand the question, but oh well.)

#2: How long will Hasbro have the toy license?

Hasbro's agreement is through the end of the year. We can not comment any further at this time.

#3: Steven Spielberg has stated that he has a fantastic story for Jurassic Park 4, and that they are currently scripting. Stan Winston has also confirmed that the next film is scripting. Has JP4 gotten the green light?

It has not been green-lit. This is too preliminary for us to discuss.

#4: Can you give any new information on JP4?

We don't have any new information at this time.

#5: Will there be a 10th anniversary DVD of Jurassic Park?

It is too preliminary for us to comment at this time. You may want to contact Evan Fong. He works in publicity for Home Video.

#6: Will there be a 10th anniversary toy line for Jurassic Park?

We don't have any information on this at this time.

In an update to yesterday's story, 'robotassassin' and 'spinosaur122' were kind enough to pass along pics of all the new JPD3 micro-dino 2-packs:

Overall I'm just not too impressed. Repaints are one thing but excluding the Triceratops (only because it's a new mold), these new micro dinos are just plain uninspiring and hideous. The days of "well at least we're getting something new" are long over IMO. They were even careless enough to label the Stegosaurus a "Spinosaurus" on the front of the Raptor/Stego box (unless of course it's an error). They probably thought we'd never notice huh? Silly JP toy fans. Hasbro should be ashamed, we as JP fans deserve more!

An interesting interview with Sam Neil has been posted at www.darkhorizons.com pertaining to the forth Jurassic Park film. Says thus:

"Yeah, Steven Spielberg and his people are quite busy prepping another one. There is a chance you'll see me in it. I'm as surprised as anyone, because I didn't think there was any way they could get Alan Grant involved again. But they came up with a clever idea. Steven just blew me away with the story....something frightening is happening concerning those dinosaurs that doesn't necessarily bode well for us humans. Scientists never seem to learn". What sort of tone can we expect? "You know that feeling when you first saw the original film, and you were so in awe, and felt so swept away and mesmerised by the sheer majesty of it all? I believe this premise has the potential to elicit that same kind of response. Out of all the concepts that've been created for these movies, this is possibly my favorite".

This sounds like what we all want and I've got my fingers crossed for the validity of this information. Big thanks to Oviraptor for pointing this article out.

Just when some were starting to doubt whether we'd see these new "micro-dinos" we get the following report from forum member 'robotassassin':

"I'm new to the board and I just returned from Florida. I was at Universal Studios, Orlando. I loved the JP area at the Islands of Adventure. The river ride was great but a bit short and the discovery center was closed off for remodeling!!! . Anyways back on the subject. As you all may know there is a new series of mini JPD("Jurassic park dinosaurs") being released by Hasbro, along with the large electronic t-rex & pterranodon, and the regular 3 electronic dinos w/3 mini dinos. I happen to go shopping around in the smaller shop that is located within the discovery center and to my surprise they had all 4 of the new mini-dino packs.

-Tyrannosaurus Rex & Spinosaurus
-Tyrannosaurus Rex & Triceratops
-Stegosaurus & Velociraptor
-Pteranodon & "compy"

I purchased the "Tyrannosaurus Rex & Spinosaurus" and the "Tyrannosaurus Rex & Triceratops." Both are great! This line is starting to get serious and is showing more "realistic/movie-like" paint apps. They don't appear silly or odd like their previous releases."

Anouther new theropod dinosaur has been uncovered in China recently. So far, it is only labeled as a maniraptor, but more information on the new animal should follow. It's amazing how many prehistoric critters are being found in China, and perhaps more impressive that so many of them are small carnivores. Wouldn't that be the opposite of a normal ecosystem? Dinosaur_Neill sends word that his petition has full support from composer Stephan Shutze but that it might take at least 10,000 signatures to be effective. That's not out of the realm of possibility but it's going to take a heck of a lot more than they have now! So make sure to sign the petition if you haven't done so already. Stephan also sent word that the Gamecube version planned for OG has been scrapped to concentrate on other projects at this time.

Before I get to the reviews, I had to mention that after all the problems with our last host lately (which went belly up on us with practically no notice) I'm pleased to say that we have found a new host and couldn't be happier! They have great customer support and are really on top of their game. Now hopefully we won't have to go through that again!

Now on to that super sized review update. As you know, we're working hard behind the scenes here to get those unfinished sections finished and recently a few forum members were kind enough to help me in that quest. Forum members Kevin, Dimetrodon and BrachioInGen took the time to complete a total of 40 new reviews for the site! Their reviews covered all of the major JP toys that we were missing including a much needed update to the JP Dinosaurs section. I can't thank those guys enough for their contributions. Just a little FYI guys & gals, the folks over at Proboards.com have a server upgrade scheduled for this Wednesday (May 7th) to begin at around 12am EST and last anywhere from 6-18 hours. While this may sound like a lengthy downtime, the upgrade will "make things faster than ever before" according to Proboards owner Patrick Clinger. No complaints from me on that! (5/8 - Update) The upgrade went off without a hitch last night and the forum is now indeed loading much quicker! We've got some very interesting news to pass along to you today from forum user 'Frost' over on the Jurassic Island Forums: "Recenty I visited a Italian Resturant named Fazoli's. While going through the Drive In Pick up Line, I couldn't believe my Eyes when I seen a poster of Four Jurassic Park Dinosaurs. The resturant is giving out four different types of dinosaurs Skeletions that you put together, Tyrannosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, Pteranodon. They come in a middle sized package with the JP:I symbol on the center, and you can carry the bones in a large egg with JP symbol printed on that. Each toy comes with a trading card with information on that dinosaur. I will soon be able to scan a information picture of the toys, (I'm saving up to buy extra where I can open some)." Is it really possible that we're now a decade removed from the opening of a movie that changed most of us forever? It may be 10 years old but it seems just like yesterday that I was waiting in line to see it for the first time. The large theater was packed as people eagerly awaited their first glimpse of "real" dinosaurs. Heck, I can even remember where I was seated! Few movies have that kind of impact. We may not know where this great franchise will end up but I don't think any of us will ever forget where it started on this day 10 years ago. Have an exclusive look at the new Jurassic Park Institute Toys! These pseudo-toys were exclusively offered by the popular Italian-food chain Fazoli's. With the help of the Jurassic Park Institute, Fazoli's created four miniature dinosaur skeletons which can be assembled and disassembled. Each dinosaur skeleton comes packaged with an exclusive collector card and packaged inside a break-apart plastic egg featuring the Jurassic Park Institute Logo. A decorative JPI plastic cup was also given away as part of the promotion.

Just a little FYI for everyone, we've now updated the toy archives for the JP, TLW and JP3 sections (the JPD section should be completed soon). Also today we have four new reviews from Takutanuva of TLW Peter Ludlow, Roland Tembo, trike hatchling and the JPS2 Ian Malcom. We received a very interesting (hideous) picture from "Josh" recently of a bootleg set from the "Scientific Wonders" line. The set includes a mixture of JP3 humans, small dinos and 3-4 miscellaneous weapons. This particular set includes an Eric Kirby repaint, Amanda Kirby Spino (somewhat repainted) and an Alan Grant 2 pack raptor. Other sets were made so please drop us a line if you happen to spot any. In another JPtoys.com exclusive, we are proud to give you your first look at the 2 new JPD3 repaints courtesy of forum member "JPobsessed"...enjoy!

JPobsessed mentioned that each deluxe figure was $14.97. Based on the back of the box, it looks like we'll have much more to collect in the coming weeks/months. For sure we see 3 new regular dinos - T-Rex w/micro Triceratops, Velociraptor w/micro Pteranodon and a Triceratops w/micro velociraptor. We also see at least 3 new 2-packs, with a 4th listed (Pteranodon & Compy) but not shown. We'll be sure to bring you more details as they become available so stay tuned here to JPtoys.com for all the latest!

There's been some discussion on our forum recently about 2 possible new JPD2 repaints. Forum member "yankeetrex" came across them at his local KB store and had this to say:

"I was at the Freehold Raceway mall today for the sports card collectible show, i stopped off in KB toys and to my surprise there were 2 new repaints of JP Dino's. One was the JP3 Deluxe Rex in black with red stripes, and the other was the Alpha Pteradon(Sorry for spelling) in a greenish color and the beak was a semi baby blue color."

Unable to take any pictures to this point, forum moderator Stitch contacted that same KB store for more details:

"KB Toys: "Thanks for calling KBs where you can save half off on all orange sticker items, can I help you?"

Stitch: "Yes, do you have any Jurassic Park toys?"

KB Toys: "Uhm, I believe we do. Yes, we have quite a few."

Stitch: "Ok, do you have a black dinosaur with red striping patterns?"

KB Toys: "Well, there's alot, like 12 different kinds. So if you wanna come in and take a look."

Stitch: "Well, I'm in Seattle."

KB Toys: "Oh... Ok, hold on a second, I'll check for you." *leaves for a bit longer then the last person I spoke with* *returns* KB Toys: "Yes, we have a black Tyrannosaur with Red stripes. It looks like he has a cut in his side where he got bit or something. And then we have the flying one. Pteranodon. It's in like two shades of green with a blue head. They're both $14.99 and they make noise." *hears distinct Alpha Ptera screeching over phone*

He went on to explain they came in about 2 weeks ago. He was given the sku number from the packages- 850396
So, these are indeed the real thing. He was told there were pictures on the back of the package of other dinosaurs in the line, but I don't know if they're new ones or the same JPD2 figures that came out a year ago."

With this confirmation, we'll hopefully be able to post pictures soon. In the meantime, be sure to follow this thread on the forum for all the latest details.

Here's a new line of toys that forum member Neelis came across recently. They are manufactured by the French toy company Papo and are currently available only overseas. However, US site tgftoys and linkandpinhobbies expect them in the states soon. The set includes a T-Rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops and a Parasaurolophus. The detail and likeness to their actual JP movie counterparts is something we definitely haven't seen in toy form before.

Here's what Neelis had to say regarding measurements:

The Rex is as big as the Jurassic Park III Re-Ak At-Ak Tyrannosaurus: but much, much more detailed. (It can't move it's limbs, by the way, the mouth is the only moving part.) The Raptor's head comes up to the chest of the Tyrannosaurus. Tyrannosaurus Rex Length: approx. 19 cm (head to curve in tail) Height: approx. 15.5 cm Velociraptor Length: approx. 16 cm (head to tail) Height: approx. 8 cm they aren't scaled, but it doesn't even matter: they are very well executed: If you see them you would swear they could have been official Jurassic Park toys. If only Universal would see this, strike a deal with Papo and have them create another line, with more dinosaurs from Jurassic Park: what great collectors items they could become!

Yes indeed. Hasbro could definitely learn a few things from this line. We can hope...right?? In the meantime, these Papo toys are definitely a very cool alternative. Eagle-eyed forum member "avpvjp" spotted another unique JP bootleg that popped up on ebay recently. It's a Styracosaurus from the "Dinosaur Ambulate" line found overseas. Be sure to check that out. I also just added 2 new reviews to our database from "redbackrex" of TLW Bull T-Rex & JP3 Aqua Spino.

Several of our members have requested that JPToys.com create a picture database of the Dino-Quest line produced by Chap Mei Toys. The 1:18/3.75" scale toys are a perfect addition to dioramas and customizers alike - but are extremely hard to find. A few days ago, Susan from the Family Library received a charitable donation of loose toys with what appeared to be several Jurassic Park dinosaurs in the mix. Paperwork requires her to catalog each toy with a description, manufacturer and manufacturer's date. She managed to find JPToys online and asked for assistance. JPToys identified and provided information about: TLW Remote Control Stegosaurus (ToyBiz), TLW Remote Control Triceratops(ToyBiz), and TLW Finger Puppets (Resaurus). Read what Susan had to say:

"As a Librarian for a combination toy and book library and resource room, I had looked everywhere on the net to try to find needed product information to catalog some Jurassic Park toy donations. I was very lucky to find the JP Toys site. Their resident geniuses were able to tell me the titles of the toys, the product information (vital to cataloguers), and provided pictures for our visual catalog!

Ever since Hasbro apparently dropped the JP toy license in early 2003, our forum has been flooded with speculation on just who would get the license. McFarlane maybe? Palisades possibly? Well a few brave souls from our forum have dedicated themselves to finding some answers. They've already received a definte NO from the Palisades company and several other inquiries are on their way. One particular response from the McFarlane group turned out to be very interesting:

Dear Jeremy:

The Jurassic Park license is one that Todd has considered ~ however, the artist in him begs that he create a unique line of dinosaurs. Should McFarlane Toys release a dinosaur line, it will be a McFarlane original and a line of toys cooler than the movie.

JPToys forum member Stitch has located some rather curious Jurassic Park toys on www.ebay.com. The seller had this to say:

"We were amazed to come across these at an estate sale, and snatched them up. We are in the process of building a dinosaur park, so we are purchasing any great dinosaur items we can find. We are currently accepting sponsors for our life-sized dinosaur exhibits. Please let us know if you know of anyone who might want to “own” a dinosaur statue. Either way, these great JPs are the real deal, they were made by Hasbro. I’m attaching a scan of the back of the box."

The cardback has a date of 2003. Crafty Customs? Bootlegs? Unreleased Prototype mock-ups? Or is Hasbro giving us the real deal? Was this the rumored 10th Anniversary line we petitioned for? Discuss in our forums!

I recently made contact with an executive at Hasbro in order to get to the bottom of this mysterious Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs toy line. Whereas we've already confirmed appearances at local KBToys to verify their legitimacy, it was confirmed that this is indeed a new toy line scheduled for limited release late summer/early fall. Here is a summary of our talking points:

A: Rumor has it there is a new JP toy line in the process of being released by Hasbro. True or False?

H: Yes, there has been a new line scheduled for release this year

A: This is the new JP: Dinosaurs line with the green packaging?

H: Yes, indeed

A: It was rumored that this line was created for a specific account (vendor) such as KBToys

H: Yes, this line was specifically created for KBToys retail

A: Can we expect only the four sets of 2-packs in this line?

H: No, I believe there are more, perhaps 10 total toys in this line.

In addition to these questions, Hasbro also rejected the notion that they ever lost the Jurassic Park toy license and there is a lot more to come. Probably the best news (at least I believe it to be) is that Hasbro is willing to open up a dialogue between themselves and JPToys! This is indeed exciting news for the Jurassic Park community. Let's keep our fingers crossed fellas!

WOW! The news keeps getting better and better. More pictures of the upcoming JP: Dinosaurs line have been posted in our forums. Looks like Hasbro was true to their word and we got our wish - JPS1 and TLW dinos with new and outstanding colors! I think people will grow to love this new release.

Has it been a wild week to be a JP toy fan or what?! Well I hope it hasn't been wild enough that you've forgotten about the first major story that broke, those unreleased CE photos. Forum member Extinct was kind enough to pass along these new closeups of the Stegosaurus & Pachysaurolophus visible in the Chaos Effect prototypes section.

A huge JPToys forum milestone was reached today as we passed the 1,000 member mark! Thanks to you guys over the years for making us the hottest place on the web for JP toys discussion. If you've never registered on our forum before, now is as good a time as any...especially with all the big news happening lately. Fourm member Raptor88 came across 2 very interesting eBay auctions today. The first is a repaint of the original Young Rex and comes with the JP3 Military General. The second auction contains a very sweet TLW/JPD Stegosaurus repaint along with the JP3 Alan Grant. Could these be the long rumored other JP:D 2 "big" dinos we've heard so much about? We're not sure at this point but stay tuned to this space for more details as we receive them.

About 2 weeks ago JPToys.com was contacted by the folks at Promotopia, Inc. probably better known to you as the makers of the Dinomania line of miniature dinosaur collectibles. Originally released in Japan only, Promotopia will now distribute the line here in the US, Canada & Mexico. They asked us to review their product and of course, we were happy to oblige.

In other news, Armothe recently uploaded new shots of the unreleased Chaos Effect Night Hunter series from a newly acquired 1999 Toy Fair catalog. These are by far the best pictures we've seen of this line to date.

In our continuing effort to keep you informed on the JP:D 2 line, site contributor Mr. Goodbytes received the following response from a Hasbro rep when inquiring about the "missing" 2 large dinos:

This does contradict other responses we've received from Hasbro (see 8/29 update) about the missing 2 so I guess we'll have to take a wait and see approach to this news. It's finally here. After much anticipation we finally put up photos and information from the latest JP series by Hasbro. It's not 100% finished as we plan to soon have loose photos of the 2-packs. Enjoy!

Right after the news of Papo's new Styracosaurus, forum member spartansquat told us that the fanbase could expect yet another gem: an Ankylosaurus! Today, forum member dinolord posted a picture of Papo's newest creation. It turned to be yet another must-have for the Papo-collector! But, it is not the first time sculptors make an Euoplocephalus and name it Ankylosaurus instead. For the Jurassic Park fans among us, this piece is a nice replacement for the only adult Jurassic Park Ankylosaurid that never saw the light of day. A big thanks goes to both members. And Papo: keep up the good work!

Forum member Quetzalcoatlus posted yet another custom of his friend, Roberto. After the very good copy of the unreleased TLW series 2 Triceratops he managed to copy the Ultimasaurus from the Chaos Effect series. He even managed to modify the figure into something even more bad-ass! No T-Rex would want to meet this guy out in the open... More pictures are found here on the forums.

We just received another update from forum member robotpo about the IDW graphic novel. It turns out it's not a novel, but another line of 5 comic books. The release date for the first issue is rescheduled to September this year, other issues will follow shortly. As with the previous lines of IDW, it will also have cover variations and robotpo submitted a picture of the first sketch variant.

Due to spoilers we will not front-page IDW's story summary for the first issue, but the fans among us who are too curious to wait: visit the comic book thread on our forums here!

An interesting discovery was made by staff member Trike123. Whilst surfing the internet he came across an advertisement for The Lost World finger puppets. To his surprise, he noticed that this ad had some prototypes, and that one of these was of a so far unknown figure!

The vehicle appears to be a JP series 2 Capture Cruiser, and the figure in the bottom left corner is a repaint of JP series 2 'Harpoon' Harisson, but the figure on the right hasn't appeared in any JP series! It is unclear whether this figure belongs to JP series 2, or was intended for TLW, (or JP in general) as the ad appears to be made specifically for TLW, with the baby T-Rex and the colours for the Parasaurolophus and Velociraptor, but the action figures being Jurassic Park series 2.

Thanks to staff member Trike123, we managed to ID the 'prototype' we posted about earlier. After the initial post almost two months ago, we've been trying to get some answers on this guy. Our thanks goes to several of our members, who provided us with more pictures of this figure. It appeared to have different paint schemes, but the figure was always the same one. Recently, staff member Trike123 spotted this figure for sale in a Jurassic Park (!) collection. After buying it, we were able to tell where the figure was from: it turns out it's Daniel Jackson, from Stargate! Produced in 1994, by Hasbro. Questions like why Resaurus used this figure for the pictures (and why they used figures from 1994 in general for the 1997 line), and why the figure had two other paint schemes on the pictures, remain unanswered.

Today we have another interview for you. Mr. Sturcke and Mr. Butkus are kind enough to tell us about some Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs 2 artwork that was featured on their websites. That included some previously unknown, unreleased specimens! Did you know there were a RC Hummer and a RC T-Rex drawn for that line? Also, they gave us some insight in how much artistic liberty they have in designing paint schemes for dinosaurs or for the packaging.

Our own toy reviewer, Jan Roselaar, has written a bunch of new reviews recently. The new reviews include the entire CamoXtreme and the Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs 1 lines. After practically living on Google and Waybackmachine.org for a few days, the staff team of JPToys managed to recover a lot of 'lost' prototype pictures. These pictures used to be on other JP toy fan sites, but those have disappeared through the years. Most pictures found their way to JPToys, but a bunch of them didn't and were considered lost for a very long time. This also includes the far better, original pictures of some prototypes. Plus, we added a lot of more recent prototype pictures too. So, we present to you: over 50 new prototype pictures on the website! Please check the prototype sections of each toy line, as the Jurassic Park series 2, The Lost World series 1 and 2, Jurassic Park 3, Chaos Effect, CamoXtreme, Jurassic Park:Dinosaurs 2 and Jurassic Park 2009 have all been updated.

This week has been full of new developments, and the most important being the discovery of four (!) new, unreleased dinosaur sculpts, previously unknown! Recently we announced four new dinosaur prototypes had surfaced, with previously unknown sculpts. Unfortunately, they were difficult to see, so still no-one knew what they really looked like. However, this time forum member JPvision managed to obtain sharp and detailed pictures of all specimens! And yet again we are proud to present you: an interview with the designer of the The Lost World line! Mr Joe DeVito speaks about designing the toys. Did you know that the magnet in the Compognathus' head was his idea? Mr Devito also designed the famous unreleased TLWS2 Triceratops and... the unreleased TLW Euoplocephalus! Today we have exciting news, it has brought to our attention by several members that TODAY on TRAVEL CHANNEL, around 9 pm EST, the episode titled 'Prehistoric Pennsylvania' will air, which features many Jurassic Park prototypes. From the pictures available we saw that there are many prototypes, like a Thrasher T-Rex, but also the notorious unreleased TLWS2 Triceratops! This is an episode you cannot miss! Since many foreign members cannot watch this episode, they are advised to keep an eye on the forum. We will try to offer a solution.

Yet another update and possibly not the last one for this week, as the past two weeks a lot of new things have been brought to our attention. Last week forum member notpicard, also active on JoeDeclassified, was kind enough to give us detailed pictures of two previously unknown JP2011 figures! He also unearthed quite a bit of interesting information as he found a piece of artwork that included the Adventure Team logo and an Allosaurus; while we thought that the lack of news about JP2011 meant that it was definitely scrapped, Hasbro had been working in secret to give it a new release as the GI-Joe Dino Hunters Adventure Team. Sadly for all of us hoping to get the dinosaur sculpts... this line has also been scrapped.

The nameless figure with the eye-patch is believed to be from JP2011, he is also the one who shows on the artwork but in very different clothing. The other nameless figure with the bow is likely from the GI-Joe Dino Hunters Adventure Team, but he is believed to have a very similar JP2011 counterpart.

But this is not all. Last week my mailbox contained a picture of a new 'A.W.E. Striker Trooper': a red one?! Is this a hint to yet another unreleased 'A.W.E. Striker' variation for the JP2011 line? Or is it the early prototype for the blue 'A.W.E. Striker Trooper'?

So the rumors are true: we are getting toys for JP:3D this year! Forum member DemonCarnotaur was able to find the first few articles as they are in the system of Toys "R" Us:

So far no pictures, but the names remind us of the JP2009 toy line. Although a lot of dedicated fans were hoping for more toys, the news was also received with understandable skepticism, since the majority of the fans has a very poor opinion of the toys first released for JP3 and repainted a million times afterward. The main question now is: 'Are we getting repaints AGAIN?' Only time will tell. It's also unclear if the toys will be Toys "R" Us exclusives again. Stay tuned for more news!

A confusing day for the Jurassic Park toys fans. After contacting Toys "R" Us and Hasbro several times, our members learned that TODAY is the release day of the new JP:3D line.

But, where are they?!

Toys "R" Us personnel has been telling fans that it will probably arrive with the next truck shipment, which so far has not been the case, as well as their distribution centers are rumored not to have any Jurassic Park stock at the moment... and while Hasbro doesn't know the release date, they did give us some information on the Pachyrhinosaurus: The Dinosaur is brown with tan and blue and a few other colors (sounds like JP2009) and comes with a human figure that is articulated, he is wearing a hat and comes with a machine gun (Jurassic Joes?). The description talked about a showdown between the human and dino. The Pachyrhino has a head ramming action if you pull back one if its legs! So when will we finally get to buy them? We don't know. But chances are it's soon, so keep a very close eye on your local Toys "R" Us.

Today we have a plethora of news to report, so lets get started! First up, we have what seems to be evidence of a new Hasbro Jurassic Park line for 2014! Once again, mysterious new listings have appeared in the Toys R Us inventory system just waiting to be discovered, which of course, we discovered. Check out the picture, and item details below!

While we do not have a release date yet, I suspect we may see the items as soon as August, or Fall at the latest. As for specifics on the toys, they remain unknown, though some may be the unreleased 6" JP 2011 sculpts (Which we know consisted of the following and perhaps more: Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Spinosaurus and Ankylosaurus). Next up is our first look at merchandise from Jurassic World, the long awaited fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise! Thanks to a set visit via Today Show we caught our first glimpse into Jurassic Worlds fictional gift shop, and we got a clear look at a 'Raptor Claw' toy by Hasbro! If only we could get a higher resolution of the video, as there seem to be a few more actual Jurassic World products hanging on the back wall. At this time it seems the other items will remain a mystery, but hopefully further set visits will share more glimpses of whats to come.

Our final bit of news is a blast from the past, proving that the Jurassic Park Dinosaurs simply want to defy extinction: check out the canceled Jurassic Park Chaos Effect Ceratosaurus!

It's truly amazing that after all these years, a completely unknown Prototype appeared and that we were able to obtain pictures. It is worth noting that the item now resides in a private collection and is in good hands, so fear not, it will not be forgotten or lost. Those following Jurassic World movie news will already know that it contains a hybrid dinosaur, “Diabolus Rex”. We had received reports that Hasbro is currently showing off a D-Rex toy under the name of “Bad Boy Rex”, and these listings add credibility to that report. Descriptions of this new new Dinosaur do exist, but we will avoid describing it now to avoid spoilers. The good news- the toys shown apparently have the immaculate detail of 2013’s Pachyrhinosaurus and Allosaurus, but feature realistic colors and detailed paintjobs, unlike the more recent cartoony color schemes. One of the items Hasbro has reportedly shown off is a Mosasaur toy from the new film, which is painted in various deeper blue colors, and is finished with a gloss that makes it appear wet.

In other news, recent rumors that Lego has the Jurassic Park license have been confirmed as true! As of now, Lego has 5 sets planned, and while the names aren’t known, we do have product listings and the prices for New Zealand (via EuroBricks):

Further, we have learned that a Lego Jurassic Word video game is currently planned (we called Lego and received confirmation that it is something on the table)! Checkout JurassicWorld.org for information from an internal Toys R Us memo, which claims Jurassic World is expected to be larger for them than the first film! It goes on to detail some of the marketing plans, which are incredibly comprehensive and exciting! Stay tuned as we dig deeper- it is likely news will begin to hit more frequently!
